Southern League play off final is Hungerford v Leamington.
-
Vics could be in the league below if they win Saturday and we don't win (and other results)
-
Isn't their funding about to disappear
-
I don't mind Leamington despite the trophy farce
-
I assume that, if we get Leamington (given more northern teams are getting relegated) we'll also get to pass over to the South one of Gloucester / Brackley / Lowestoft, all of whom are much more of a ballache to get to
Just being pragmatic!
-
Purely from a selfish point of view I hope we get Leamington and keep Lowestoft, I could live without going to Brackley again.
-
Sadly Brackley are going down so no trip to the Crewe Arms next year

If Leamington lose, and Boreham Wood End up going down with us, we could actually end up with Oxford City moving North again.

I have to say that I quite like Leamington & hope they win. OK , they screwed up a bit in that Trophy tie, but a nice club & without doubt their 'Brakes Fluid' is a quite wonderful brew.

From a London Alty view Lem is a direct train from London, decent pubs and is a good set up. If only the ground wasn't in a field on the outskirts of town. We could do a lot worse than them next year. Incidentally if they come up it doesn't say a lot for the standard of the Southern Prem I have to say.

They may be rubbish, I don't know, but over 210 minutes in the Trophy games, they were better than us.
It is a shame that they don't play in the town anymore.

Wouldn't bank on even if Vics win tomorrow on being promoted another winding up is due for Monday watch this space...

Its a farce and despite the rivalry I feel very sorry for the situation. One strong Northwich club is what is needed and then we can restore our rivalry
-
Back to the top.....it's not them. Hungerford win 2-1, so no need for a geographical switch this year.

So does that mean that Kidderminster go in the Conf South?
Unless I am missing something, Kidderminster is a lot further north than Gloucester or Brackley.
Or can you have 3 teams from the Conf National relegated to conf North and only one to conf South?
-
Three can go in conf north,
hungerford will go South. If the result is too many heading south the most northerly "south" team will get bunted into our league (hopefully Oxford!)

there is no club moving south to north, as only two clubs coming up from below, us Kiddy and Halifax will all be in North
Its 5 in and 5 out, so add Darlo and Salford and you have it
-
I've only just noticed Brackley stayed up. Oh joy.
-
If you're driving to Brackley the Crewe Arms in Hinton in the Hedges is only a couple of miles from the ground and does a good lunch - eases the pain

Leamington manager moaning in the local press about the hectic schedule in the last month of the season. Maybe if they got the Trophy replay moved to another ground instead of all the messing about, their schedule may have been less hectic.
