maybe this is the move where he plays to his potential for 90 mins match after match....such a shame as when he was on form he was brilliant but he was only only form once every ten games and then he'd go off the boil again....unfathomable...

Said many times before but a wasted talent.

On his day, strong as an ox, impossible to get the ball off and in the right place for a goal.

On other days, the demeanour of a lazy student.

It wouldnt overly concern me to see his name on the oppositons team sheet. always seemed an idle sod most games he played for us.

This.

I still have a soft spot for Dale. He was one of the few players we've had in recent years who I felt had more natural talent than almost any opponent he played against. But he used it so rarely. When you seem him at York shrugging off a defender on the touchline, dashing inside before curling the ball in the far corner, you wonder why he spent other afternoons swanning around complaining to the referee.

Dale seemed motivated for some of the big games in the Conference in front of big crowds.  Didn't Graham Westley, when at Stevenage, once say Dale could go further in the game.  He had his chance on the bigger stage

I think Halifax are taking quite a risk really when you consider the money they have to spend and the other more proven consistent performers around.
