Title: Goal difference
Post by: MarpleAlty on April 23, 2016, 04:33:28 PM
We need to ensure we hold on to a decent lead.

As it stands, a Guiseley draw next week is fine.

Just Braintree to beat...  ;)

Oh, we need FGR to score to take Halifax out of next week's equation.

halifax result today irrelevant.  If we win next week and they don't we finsh ahead of them, if they win or we don't they finish ahead of us.  That is true whether 'fax draw or lose today

as long as they don't win today..... :(

No. We need them to lose. And they're winning.  >:(

That's us stuffed now. We're left needing to win away at Braintree and hope that both Halifax and Guiseley lose at home to teams with nowt to play for.

Maybe 1 time in 100 it would happen. But we appear to have left it too late.

All we can do is go to Braintree and win, then look at other results. Tough enough task ourselves.

We need to get as many down there as possible in support, leave nothing behind on or off the pitch and then you never know....

The fat lady has been singing for bloody months. The players should go to Braintree next week and play for pride, since that is all that is left now. As bad as Welling were today, at least they played with their heads up and gave it a go.
