£22.83 @ 11/1 ;D
Just about pays the bill I had for new brake pads and discs today!

You'd better tell me where your garage is mate!

That was the stake :)
Winnings: £273.96
Garage bill: £270.39
Leaves me with £3.57 for a pint and packet of crisps ::)

Worlds oddest amount to stake! Well done though.

Great news. Always enjoy hearing of a bookie losing money.

Ah, fair enough.

It was a calculated, er, calculation based on the cost of a new flash gun for my camera - then I got the garage bill...

not a betting man but I was very sure of a leeds win today. Cannot prove it other than state I did tell a couple of mates in midweek. It was based on the utd players not understanding the emotion of the fixture. ferguscum did but his players (especially berbatov) simply did not get the emotion. a fine corporate team utd...all passion and emotion were missing. how anybodt watches that week in week out is beyond me. the same goes for liverpool.

I went to the game, got a free ticket. Was nice to see a live football match for first time since 15th December!!
We were sat in South stand, near the tunnel, and couldn't believe the number of people who have no clue about football. 'Fooking rubbish Berbatov' after he had just done a brilliant flick to Valencia ::) ::)
Was nice to hear that Leeds fans had not lost a sense of humour through the dark days as they chanted 'We're not famous anymore'.
Roll on Wimbledon/Kettering (I think highly unlikely Tuesday will be on)

berbatov looked (albeit on the telly) as if he wasn't bothered, his body langauge was very poor and his commitment questionable. I don't think he'll be there next season. Thanks for confirming that the place may be full, but a many of them are footballing muppets.

I had a ticket and was sat in the North East quad. When Leeds scored, two of their supporters got up and cheered (who were sat in the Utd end near to me) and all hell broke loose. Much better entertainment than watching the game!

Did a similar thing in the centre of Liverpool once. It was the early days of Sky coverage and I was playing in an indoor cricket tournament with work. There was a TV/bar room and Utd were at Anfielf. The score had been 2-0 and United had Keane or Scholes sent off. When the United equaliser went in I did a bit of a cheer, got some strange lookls and decided we were due to play our next match!

Having visited Germany only a few weeks before, I sat in my local with a bayern munich shirt on for that european final, felt great for 89mins, then five mins later I left.
