Title: Bad night for Farsley Celtic
Post by: Brian Flynn on September 20, 2017, 07:01:17 PM
The FA Youth Cup saw a poorer result than the first team achieved last night:-

Farsley Celtic AFC   0 - 12   Handsworth Parramore FC

It must come as some relief to Farsley's first team squad to realise how unlikely it is that some up and coming youngster could usurp their place.

At least they turned up, which is more than Ashton United did for their home FA Youth Cup match against us tonight.
Somebody who keeps tabs has told me he reckons there have been no less than 28 withdrawals from the Youth Cup this season, including Chadderton who gave Ashton a walkover in the previous round. That must be a record.

No, definitely United.
They were down to play MMU the same afternoon but don't seem to have played either match.

It also of course includes Bamber Bridge who scratched, giving us a walkover in the Prelim Rd. Could we get to the competition proper without kicking a ball?
