sorry about the delay

This looks like an absolute stonewall pen: http://youtu.be/bKRKlI18WlA?t=2m30s
Didn't actually think that the tackle on Duncan was that bad, a bit reckless perhaps but no more than a yellow.
-
Not even a yellow, duncan fell awkwardly also appears keeper didn't commit the foul
-
It's a terrible challenge which could have been much worse if Duncan hadn't have half jumped out of part of it. I'm glad he did or he would have had a broken leg.
-
Definitely a penalty when Watmore was felled in the box. Hayward's tackle on Watmore went straight through him and should have had a yellow card. How he fell is irrelevant.
-
Don't think anyone thought it was a red at the time by any means, however it was a free kick. He did a few more as well along the way which got him further booing.
Stalybridges goal was an attempt at a deep cross. Complete fluke.

completley agree

I'd say the tackle on Watmore was a yellow in this era and the sending off was mistaken identity but the defender shouldev gone his foul stoped a goal

Love this forum

My take on some of the key talking points:
1. Stalybridges goal a blatant fluke-overhit cross.
2. Watmore before 'that' tackle should have had a clear penalty.
3. Prince goes through the side of Watmore under the linemans nose, a booking and with some of his later tackles he would have then been sent off if the officials had done their job properly initially.
4. For the penalty I thought it was more the defended who committed the foul rather than the keeper. If they successfully appeal that how about a retrospective ban for the defender instead then?
5. For all their clear victory in the moral cup I can't recall or see there our plucky little neighbours from the poor side of Manchester having many clear chances at all.
6. Get to fook you Tameside scrubbers.

It was tough challenge from behind so a yellow, good first half but the second was forgetfull.
Oh its also nice that they are even mocking the minutes silence on there forum now the mind boggles how they reproduce these mongs.

Their No10, Mullen, was very tricky.
We should have had a pen when Dunc was brought down in the box and, in fairness to Hayward, I think his tackle on Dunc did get the ball, but it should still have been a yellow.
Still not confident when I see Reevesy's pens - still too straight.

Here's what i've posted on the Stalybridge forum.
Looks like we'll be meeting next year over the Christmas/New Year period, have a good rest of the season folks.
And to Sarf London Alty....any need in your point 6?
I see a few things
1. Wilkinson's goal was a cross, but a goal is a goal
2. The young number 9 for Altrincham should have had a penalty, Platt legged him over in the box. Nothing was given.
3. The Footballer formally known as Price (Hayward) incident, thought was a fair tackle, shame the lad got injured but it wasnt a scissor tackle, or anything of the sort. Ive seen yellow's given for this though. Looked to have fallen awkward, if we get them kind of tackles banned, it will be a non contact sport full stop. He came in from the side, not from behind, which would rightfully have been a red.
4. The Cairns sending off was extremely harsh, it was more a coming together of 3 players, especially in the extra slow motion version. I've seen penalties given, others nothing, but it wasnt a red card in my eyes. Just hope the extra slow motion can help Cairns out, and thanks to Altrincham TV if it does (plus some excellent highlights).
5. Jordan Barrow in net played a blinder.
-
It wasn't a fair tackle, he came in from behind and makes contact with Watmore's ankle rather than the ball. The ball does change direction, but that is because Watmore had the ball at his foot. The same foot which their number six tries to clear over the back of the pop side. The linesman had a shocking game missing that.

Not a blinder in my opinion. One or two shots he did well with but the entire Stalybridge team defended him very well, especially in the second half. He didn't have enough to do to describe his performance as a blinder.

To be fair, for an outfielder playing in goal he dealt with everything that came his way extremely well. Looking back at the watmore penalty appeal it is much clearer than it was live, I don't seem to remember there being much crowd appeal at the time but it was quite blatant. The watmore foul was also not as bad as it first seemed. I think he fell quite awkwardly.

posted elswhere but i saw it as correct to send keeper off, defender didnt manage to bring forward down but keeper finished job off. stand in did well to save what came his way but lets be honest it wasnt much. 2 mins of 2nd half highlights says it all. woeful half of football, but still ended up with a win - next game please.
