Marc Joseph at Kendal Town

We have signed one of your former players, Marc Joseph, at Kendal Town for the coming season.  Early days, and we have only had two pre-season games so far, but he looks a good signing.  How did he go down with the Alty fans?

Good luck for the coming season, by the way.  Hope you don't stay long in the Conference North.

I am genuinely surprised he couldn't get a gig a little bit higher up the pyramid.

I must confess that I had expected him to be playing Conference North this season, though not for us.

Absolutely awful until after Christmas then wasn't too bad but always prone to a glaring error.

Isn't Craig Dootson there as well?
I wouldn't want to be the guy who counts your goals against column next season!!

Started the season like he had never even see a football before, including one of the worst peformances I have ever seen from an alty player in the abandoned game at Curzon.

Then started to get a bit better after Christmas and finished the season OK.

He'll do well at that level.

Also great to see that not everyone of last seasons relegation superstars has managed to get a better offer (on a purely selfish note)

A liability at the start of the season, but in the end I thought had some great games for us.

As for you I would not be surprised if you have signed your player of the seaon, and he will get some goals for you as well.

A good signing for you.

Totally agree with this. He underestimated the standard of footy at BSP level (his admission) and it took him a while to adjust, and he was playing out of position too. My only worry would be how motivated he is at your level. If he tries like he did for Alty the second half of the season he will be brilliant for you, scores some good headed goals too. Fit lad with good right foot and strong.

Good luck for next season.

Chesteralty - yes, Craig Dootson has signed for us.  He's got a hard act to follow, as David Newnes was probably the best keeper in our league.
