That Millwall supporter wearing a tea cosy at half-time.....

....during the £500 Hit The Crossbar challenge.

I have to say hats off to him for actually managing to hit the crossbar by kicking the ball from the halfway line, even if his shot was wind-assisted and towards the undesignated end!

Couldn't we have given him one of those souvenir T-shirts as a consolation prize?!

I was surprised nobody got anywhere near. Maybe this could become a regular event with prize money set at 70% of ticket sales.

My dad got a ticket and we were discussing how hard it would be from the penalty spot !!! then someone pointed out it was from the halfway line :-)
cant believe he booted the ball towards the chequers end and it bounced up against the crossbar :-)

The jammy git!!!!

But yeah we could make a bit of cash from that every week,  as you saw people were buying the crossbar challange tickets and at £1 per ticket you soon get a collection together.
dont  no whether it should be £500 every week but something like a signed alty shirt or a free half season ticket might be a possible idea?

He is a mate of mine. Very funny incident and fair play for having such a challenge like that.

Great tea cosy and although he hit the wrong end he should be sent something.
