How you can have the cheek to demand an apology from genuine Alty fans after coming to yesterday's game for FREE is beyond me. You are not a true Alty fan and only show your face when the cameras are in town. Furthermore, you do nothing to help the club (were you really that hard up for the £16 entrance money yesterday?) and I sincerely hope that the next time you roll up to Moss Lane for a cup tie you are pointed in the direction of the ticket office.

Rant over.

Angus Loughran     **** Notice the highlighted bit****           Tho I realise Wikipedia cannot be taken as Gospel truth
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Angus Loughran is a British sports commentator and pundit. He appears regularly on television, newspapers and websites, usually concentrating on horse racing and football, such as the Daily Telegraph and www.easyodds.com writing tipping sections every day. He has also provided English language football commentary for Eurosport and ESPN.

He first worked for Ladbrokes, providing racing commentary into their betting shops, but rose to fame as "Statto", the resident statistician on the BBC Two television show Fantasy Football League. Clad in a dressing gown and pyjamas, he would stand in the corner of the set and provide facts and figures on each of the guests' fantasy football teams, while being made fun of by hosts Frank Skinner and David Baddiel.

He is the son of conductor James Loughran and was educated at Ampleforth College. He is a fan of Manchester United F.C..

During an episode of Fantasy Football League archive footage from News at Ten was shown of Loughran offering a chair during a Test match at The Oval to notorious blocker Chris Tavaré. The implication was that Tavaré must be tired, hence his lack of scoring.

However (from the official site) "The Club's Associate Directors include Angus Loughran, 'Statto' of TV sports punditry fame."  This means he is probably allowed free entry.

Nevertheless, with his influence: IT WOULD BE NICE IF HE COULD PUT SOMETHING BACK INTO THE CLUB!

Did Statto not donate money towards the bar extension in the past?

Is Statto a director of Milwall as well as a well known Man U fan then?

I agree entirely with alty365....these celebs use the big FA Cup ties to give themsleves a plug hopefully get picked up by the MOTD cameras and get mentioend as Alty's biggest fan...don't pay to get in and then are never seen again until the next time we get a league club.

Statto would be roundly applauded and would get his name chanted heard on the MOTD if he had turned up to (say) Whitby or a home game V Vauxhall Motors...as the saying goes..where was he when we were sh&t??
