Its great to hear these. I reckoned that the idea that Millwall were far superior (as per R5 live) was inaccurate. The stats showed it was very close.

I guess we will see on Match of the Day if we were unlucky with the 1st Millwall goal. I think that cost us.

A great performance. A replay would have been deserved. Maybe next season.

couldnt work out if first half millwall were very nervous or just not very good. second half they'd obviously had a bit of a kick up the backside, but still not very good.  trouble is altrincham couldn't keep the ball. on that performance millwall would be a mid table conference team. their finishing was very poor.

Unlucky Alty.

I'm proud of the team and the club. Not only did we do well on the pitch, but did ourselves credit in the media too. Things like GH greeting Mark Pougatch with a cup of tea is such a small thing, but will be remembered.*

As GH said on the interview on the BBC

There is no doubt in my mind that Alty would have won but for the penalty incident.Upto the penalty, Millwall seemed short of ideas other than pumping high balls into the box, and Tinson and Shotton were coping quite comfortably with them. The referee was left with little choice but to send Lane off, but he might have done the same to Millwall's left back, when he tackled Chris Senior from behind shortly after being booked for handball, but got away with a warning. Game's turn on incidents like these, and on this occasion it turned in Millwall's favour. Fabulous effort from the 10 men, but it was'nt to be.

Sorry you lost lads, but at least you did your club proud and didn't disgrace yourselves like the wasters who were wearing York shirts this afternoon.

What was "brilliant" about it?

We only managed two shots on target all afternoon against surprisingly poor opposition.

Tinson was immense and deserved the Man Of The Match award.....but we simply have too many substandard players.

Sedgemore might as well have paid £16.00 and sat in the stand with the rest of us.

The likes of King, Johnson, Cuddy etc would not have been proud of that showing.
