O dear Grays 1 Turkey 0
-
most attacking bench ever!
yay joe gets a go from the start! i believe he's earned it from what i've seen and heard about him the past few weeks.
-
Personally I think I'd have preferred Cahill to start, certainly not Joe, but I really hope he proves me wrong!
And indeed, O dear for Torquay!

keep your ears out for more mistakes from our glorious commentators
-
Oooo we don't look overawed for this BIG occasion....condescending t**ts
-
Sounds like quite a bright start.
-
sh*te
-
Farsley 1 up at stafford
-
That was in response to their goal rather than our start...just to clarify.
-
crap, we looked bright. come on alty/
-
Weymonth now leading at halifax
-
Apparently everyone else is going to win just to make it a crap day
-
F*ck off Lisa Stansfield

"Cross by Wayne Carlisle (Exeter), goal by Matthew Gill (Exeter) right-footed (top-right of goal) from right side of penalty area (12 yards).Exeter 2-0 Altrincham. Assist (cross) by Wayne Carlisle (Exeter) from right wing."
description of goal

It was always doubtful that we'd get a second fantastic result so soon after the first. Might as well bring on a striker at half time and try and make it competitive.
-
Northwich winning now
-
ffs, vics 1 up
-
Sounds like Shotton is being run ragged at left full-back.
How that position has haunted us this season.
-
The score is bad but not as bad as these two dick heads, they are poor man really poor!
>:(
-
I thought it'd be 4, but now I'm more worried than that! You can only play the system of nothing up front so often before it gets found out. Paul Tisdale has had us watched and done his homework on us well.
-

I am extremely worried about the loss of J.J, since we had him we were so much more balanced and solid in defence!

jj in macc starting line up and yes they are winning.
-
We have had no shots whatsoever, 2-0 down, simply have to change it at half time, get senior on and lets get at them at least!

i agree, we've got to freshen things up a bit and start attacking.
-
Easy everyone, we never expected anything from Torquay or today so we are up on the deal. Farsley winning at Stafford is no great deal, there is time for Stafford to level it. Same for Halifax/Weymouth.

NOT EVEN A CORNER >:( >:(
-
Might be better keeping little off so he is fully fit for tuesday
-
Well, let's face facts here. Before Tuesday nobody realy expected us to get anything from these two fixtures (hoped, but not expected) and so we are already on a bonus.
This is the same system that was played at Torquay and we got a result and everybody was delighted (not saying it's right, but...). Still time for other results to turn around and these two fixtures were always going to be our most difficult two in the run-in.
Having said all of that I'd alaos like to see us throw caution to the wind now and go for it in the second half.
-
Need at least a Stafford equaliser or a Halifax win or else we are back in the relegation zone.
-

Exactly, I'll take a 4-0 defeat so long as Weymouth and Farcely don't win!!

You know how to cheer us up then ;D ;D
-
Come on lads, we all knew it was going to be touching cloth time from here on in.....just have the vanish oxy-action at the ready and keep those red and whites clean and bright
-
We need to be BOLD here and not rely on the football FAIRY.
-
Little and Roca on for Lane and King
-
vics two up........fleet down to 10 men the reason ?
-

Proffessional foul. Pen given at the same time
-
Sounds like Roca's started well
-
lost coverage here
-
Ebbsfleet got one back
-
Get in halifax
-
back again...missed your cleaning product related post there SW.....DAZzling
-
Have i gone mad? It just said halifax had scored and now it doesn't!!?!??
-
Farsley 2-0 up.
Bugger.
-
They have equalised, come on Halifax, as long as Weymouth get beat it's some consilation!
-
Your ARIEL was probably down Unc Glob
-
They've gone goal crazy at Vics - 3-2 now
-
I was having difficulty SURFing......oh dear enough
-
I understand that we are expected to lose these games, but no shots at all smacks of relegation really.
-
Halifax winning 2.1
-
fax 2-1 up
-
An Ebbsfleet equaliser would mean not such a bad day all considered.
-
bbc has credited us with a shot!
-
Just thinking, maybe a draw between halifax and weymouth may not be a bad result for us, considering we were 3 pts (i think) off them before today, could get sucked into the relegation battle
-
Crawley down to 9 men 2 sent off
-
3-3 Vics!
-
Things are starting to look better!
-
Must be a mistake 1853 at Stafford today
-
Steve Bull
-
3-3 Vics!
I raise a glass to Chukki Eribenne!
-
Made all the difference hasn't he, thanks in a Woking kind of way.
(refers to Steve Bull post)
-
Little goal!
-
Little scores!
Too little, too late?
(Sorry)
-
Well done Colin! 2-1!
-
COME ON!!
-
Is it just me or are we becoming a second half team? I fancy any game 0-0 at half time at the mo!
-
all things considered not a disaster today. Hope the travelling fans have a good night out/trip home.
att 3500 shows what we're up against
-
At half-time, things looked extremely bleak.
However, Weymouth losing yet again and Vics throwing away a two goal lead against ten men has raised the spirits somewhat.
-
This week could have been a real disaster, as it has worked out I feel we've done ok with a point Tuesday and no great loss of GD today. When others in the scrap play each other someone will always pick up points, so we can't worry too much about that Onwards and heads high for Tuesday.
-
yes, I thought that it was going to be a disasterous day, but all in all, we seem to be in pretty much the same position we started it in. It looks like it will be 1 from 3 to join Vics, Stafford and Droylsden at the moment.
We have also had one of our most difficult remaining games, whilst the others have had less difficult ones.
-
Exactly Foz, exactly.
-
True, Torquay and Exeter away in the space of a few days represents the worst of the fixtures we had left. It means the next two home games v Fax and FGR (both winnable) become of vital importance.
-
Right todays game first half we played quiet well,Exeter were brilliant.Exeters goal did not have a shot to save at all first half,Exeter right winger was very lively and was causing us lots of problems.
Second half Exeter we very quiet and we picked up the game was played mostly in the exeter half, that saidthey still had a few half chances.Roca and Little came on in a double sub and Roca was straingt into action down the left wing he has pace and was quite tricky and had a couple of shots ,certainly livened things up,he looks a good player.Cols goal was well taken in about the 91st minute,we still had time to get level, but Exeter then pushed up and we just run out of time,if the goal had come 10 minutes earlier then who knows.
The lads did not let the team down, just Exeters first half performance was fantastic, think we saw the league title winners today.
One downer was it cost £16.00 to get in Exeter decided to put us all in the stand and leave behind the goal empty, that was untill a group of Alty fans stayed stood up,the stewards then decided to let us into the away end after about 20 minutes of the game had been played.About 100 from Alty there.

That must have been a fantastic first half performance if you think there gonna win the league Harold. They've got a 13 point deficit to cut on Aldershot in the remaining 13 games. A not inconsequential amount of points.
I would say that we are now in a mini league of 3 rather than 6.
-
Another totally unexplained Peake.....announce yourself and explain please as I cannot see the reason?
These things should be identifiable.
-
Yep, today's game then, I know a lot of the lads have stayed over so it will be tomorrow for their take but here's mine....
Exeter bossed it from start to finish, they are very commanding at the back, centre backs won everything in the air and keep it simple, full backs bomb forward and Stansfield was as good as ever up top. Really was an uphill battle, they looked a better outfit than Torquay to me. When you can bring Lee Elam on as a sub there yet again you have the difference between us and the top sides. I almost expected after the great result at Torquay for us to lose this one and frankly by 30 minutes it was over. Second half Roca and Little when they came on deffo made a difference but we couldn't really get any joy out of Exeter today. Lads worked hard again but when you have a second huge trip in 5 days and you're playing a side packed with quality at this level then you have to hold your hands up, no need for mass inquests just move on and get back on it for Tuesday night. The lads (and the supporters, been an expensive week) can be proud of their efforts down in the west country this week.
PS-The stewards at Rushden could take a lesson in common sense from the Exeter lot.

Virtually typed what I was going to.
We tried but we were a bit tired and they were really good in all areas. No matter what we did.nothing made any difference.
One great run from Cahill could have got us a goal and Little's finish was class. Other than that nothing happened.
Carlos Roca looked lively though when he came on.
Now lets see how we do in the 3 home games...
-
On the way out the Stewards recommended we write to Sally Cooke at the Exeter club address as we should get our £2 back - I suggest we ask them to send the extra money to Alty or STAR to subsidise the next few coaches or something as we will obviously not get our individual £2's back.

Not being funny but it was my two quid they took so if they are going to return it, it is rightfully mine. I will be doing everything I can to ensure they return it to me because what they did was completely wrong.
