Title: Cambridge predictions
Post by: jimmyhank on April 22, 2010, 08:10:06 PM
Can't remember what I put on my TASC predictions but I'm going for a 2-1 Alty win. Williams opens the scoring, Cambs equalize then Colin scores what proves to be the winning goal. Attendance 1,150.

I agree..very hard fought 2-1 win... 1104 there (248 Cambridge)

Its not very Alty for Colin to score I'm afraid...more likely that he misses a pen in the last minute.

I don't mind what happens as long as Colin scores.  :)

C'mon Ecky - just this once! It'll be a better dream than the Salisbury one!

Colin scores the winner with a 90 minute penalty and whilst celebrating notices (ex-Runcorn faker) Barry Jones stood on the front row of the Golf Rd.......you know what happens next !! ::)

The day is slightly marred when news comes just before kick off that Colin Little has signed for Northwich. "I'm delighted to at last fulfill my ambition of playing for Vics" says Colin. The crowd spend the game pelting him with rotten tomatoes, boo him every time he touches the ball, jeer him when he misses a penalty and he leaves the pitch to chants of "Judas!".

Alty 4 Cambridge 0 att 3,500
JM hat trick, Couburn (pen)

Now that my TASC predictions are starting to come good, I'll stick with my predicted 2-1 victory. Colin opens the scoring direct from a free kick 20 yards out just after the half hour. Cambridge equalise just after the hour through Danny Crow. Colin leaves the field to a standing ovation with just over ten minutes to play, and his replacement John McAliskey snatches the points in a goalmouth scramble with two of the added three minutes played. Attendance 1002.

I'm hoping for a repeat of 1967 (Still one of my favourite matches - despite it being a 'friendly') but any win would do me fine (coupled with favourable results from the Kiddie and Wrexham games of course)

I'd love a victory to round off a fantastic season. I'll go 1-0 Senior, my heart says Col but don't want to jinx it!

Bring on The Alty!

3 - 1 to Alty on a nice warm afternoon at ML.
Cambridge will hopefully bring a few to swell the numbers.

I really hope that there is well over a 1000 fans there to give Colin a good farewell.

Sadly I have given up hope of large gates unless we have the likes of Wimbledon etc visiting.. (it is quite baffling considering the good season we have had)

I hope the "Messenger" has given a good section of its sports pages to the fact that it will be Colin's last game for the club.

Cmon The Alty..

I hope we don't get a penalty - I can see Col missing unfortunately - like Ecky says, it just wouldn't be Alty for him to score. 2-2 is my prediction, but I'm never right.

I hope the chickens don't use any "foul" language - sorry!
