How many times have we heard this before. It'll end in tears.

In the short term, if they are being bankrolled, it would be handy if they were in the BlueSquare South next season (if we don't go up).

Oxford cannot sustain two football league clubs. It's not realistic.

wasn't the Brackley chap something to do with ASDA / Wall Mart as well?

and leave Oxford in BSN, it's one of my few local games.

I see Brackley with their billionaire owner had 243 at home last night.

I know Oxford has a much bigger catchment area but they are never going to displace Oxford United as the City's major team. Why do these people always pick such odd clubs?

Madness.

There are very few options when it comes to clubs with the potential to go miles higher than their current level. But Oxford City is a particularly sh*t choice.

Should have tried to rescue Truro if he wanted to use a football club as a penis extension. At least they'd have a decent catchment area.

Oxford has a population of just under 165,000, of whom 153,900 live within the district boundary. That's enough for 2 small clubs to thrive.

I wish them all the best, it's nice to have Ambitions and dreams.
But a word of warning.

"Beware of what you wish for, it might just come true".

case in hand.  Gretna.
Got into premier league in Scotland, scottis  cup final against Hearts, Europa league
had a millionaire backer, millionaire backer pulled out
and club went bust.

I hope he is in it for the long hall.

This a new era in the history of Oxford City Football Club and puts the foundation in place for a sustained and exciting future

The word sustained should never be put within a million miles of reports like this....the only words missing were property developer.

And Gretna was worse than a backer pulling out....the poor bugger simply fell seriously ill!

Last time I looked there was already a large league club in Oxford.

Not sure why anyone would want to create another one from a fanbase of 150

Yeah, they may as well lock the gates now

No, just carry on performing at a sustainable level would be a better plan.

Football teams should not be one mans toy.
