Wes Baynes
« on: October 22, 2010, 08:15:56 AM »

Looks like the man who scored 50% of Wrexhams goals against us last season has finally come out of hiding to join us here at 'Moss Road'(as Wrexhams website calls us).
My Wrexham supporting spies inform me that his best role is playing just behind forward players , in the hole as it's called.
There has been a lot of speculation over his future, seems he will be playing for us for the next three months at least.
A good piece of business by Ken, hopefully see him against Gateshead on Saturday!!

Happy Days - he's the sort of player you hate playing against you but one you'd love on your team. Similar to Denham in that way.

If this is true its a great loan signing.  Think he fell out with Wrexham when he asked for a transfer out of the blue and then changed his mind.

He is the bloke that nearly broke our crossbar last season..

Their local paper seems to think its a done deal, just waiting for international clearance...

This is an excellent loan signing. I thought he was Wrexham's best player when he played against us last year and stood out by a mile in their squad.

Lets hope theyre quicker than down under!!

Sounds like he has that bit of creativity in the middle that we miss. With the steel of Somner we might look really good for a few games.

All things being equal with his international clearance... He should be available to us by the time we play Wrexham at Christmas  :D

Eligible for the FA Cup but ineligible for the two matches against Wrexham:

on the 2 ocassopns I have seen him against us he's definitely been an attacking left sided midfielder. Whether that's his normal position I don't know but he was bloody good playing there!!

All sorted:

WES JOINS
Altrincham FC have signed Wrexham winger Wes Baynes on a 93-day loan. International clearance has now been obtained so Wes is available for selection now. His squad number will be 17
