so you think this is a controvertial opinion? In the bsp it was 'let's be realistic' and 'were not where we belong etc' from heathcoate, now its the bsn and its also 'let's be realistic' but this time from most of the fans that hated that very attitude,

Oh come on.

Seriously, after last seasons' full of abject performances and inevitable relegation who was thinking we would win this league? We are a big name in this league and teams will raise their performance against us.
Weve not really got the quality to bounce straight back up. (if signing cast offs from BSP clubs will enable us to compete in the BSP someone needs to look again). weve got 16 players plus youngsters, so we dont have the depth to tinker with the squad (thats what pre-season is about).

This season is about looking what is available in this league and then looking to finance a push next season with the better players we come up against.

We'll end up mid table (8th -13th) this season.

What I'm getting at is of course we can challenge for promotion as long as sinnot carries on making even loan signings then we will see improvements,

We have played six games so far, all against teams who, whether we rate them or not, harbour what they consider realistic hopes of promotion or at least the playoffs

I will have £10 bet that neither Workington or Histon finish in the top Half, let alone play of spots. Also don't fancy Harrogate or Vauxhall to finish in play-off spots, mid-table teams.

We have played one very good team (Guiesley), one good team (Hyde), two average teams (Vauxhall and Harrogate) and two poor team (Workington and Histon)

We should have gained 11 points by now, but we haven't. That said, I'm sure we will catch up the 5 dropped points in totally undeserving smash and grab victories throughout the season.
