Altrincham FC First Team / Rangers in the Conference National?
« on: January 16, 2013, 06:49:43 PM »

Conference members are to discuss the possibility of Rangers starting life in the Conference national, rather than play in Scotland.

Though the question of promotion / relegation would have to be looked at, and whether the Conference would increase the number of teams, or have a north v south playoff final for 1 season, whilst keeping the four relegation spots.

By using " the video evidence available" I assume that wont  be forthcoming from altrincham until the slanderous comments about alledged racism by our "right wing tory scum" fans on the messageboard that's linked from their official website are removed?

I hope we are using the same video for the challenge on Duncan??

Apparently AFC Wimbledon won the FA Cup in 1988, 14 years before they were formed.

There is also a bus service from Stoke on trent to Leek.

Take any bus outside stoke station going to the city centre. Walk to Hanley bus station & the no. 18 leaves Hanley bus station every 20 minutes to Leek.
Journey time from Stoke station to Leek is about 1 hour.

Still doesn't state why no action was taken when supporters informed stewards around 2.20 that they were Chester fans. Nor does it state why only a few were moved after the first incident, nor why these people were just taken round into the Chester end after the second incident. They should have been ejected, after having their pictures taken.

Still not happy with these outcomes. I only hope the people that matter have learnt lessons from the debacle. Sometimes the stewards need to work with the home fans, sadly on this occasion it didnt happen and people were very upset that a situation was able to escalate when it could have been preventable.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Re Stewarding, Sterile Areas etc
« on: August 16, 2012, 11:48:07 PM »
As we have seen on many, many away games; either stand without cover or pay to sit undercover. We should not be giving extra room to accommodate a couple of fans who dont.
In essence, by accommodating these supporters, it reduces to experience for too many home fans. Firstly, those who normally stand at the end of the Popular Side, secondly those who normally stand further down and are now much nearer to away supporters.
I simply do not see why, especially in the BSN, why we need to reduce the experience for so many home supporters. There seems to be many supporters who are not happy about this, and it is about time those who can make the decisions, to ensure all the home supporters can carry on enjoying the matches. The away end holds around 1400. Why carnt we partition part of this area off instead?
I am sure it is the volunteers best intentions to ensure Moss Lane is a safe and secure environment to watch a football game. However, having such a big sterile area is, quite frankly, ridiculous.

Altrincham FC First Team / Wembley FC sign......
« on: June 21, 2012, 09:11:45 PM »
Wembley FC have signed former England internationals  Graeme Le Saux, Martin Keown, and Ray Parlour. They have also signed former argentinian striker Claudio Caniggia and former American striker Brian McBride for their upcoming FA cup fixtures. Wembley FC have also appointed David Seaman as goalkeeping coach and Terry Vennables as technical advisor.
No this is not football manager, this is all thanks to a new sponsorship deal with a famous brand of beer.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: ADAM FLYNN leaves
« on: March 09, 2012, 03:57:38 AM »
Strange isn't it ?

When we signed him he was a brilliant signing
During the Pre Seasons, again a brilliant signing
Now he's the crappest player we've ever had (a title which seems to be reallocated with amazing regularity)

He wouldn't have played badly on purpose, he wouldn't have been (arguably) too slow on purpose

Why can we not for once just thank a departing player for what he did rather than bombarding him with insults?
To be fair, in our pre-season even I would have been amazing, though i need a double hernia and liposuction would not have made any difference.

perhaps we should just slag the manager off for attempting to bring a decent player into the fold who turned out to be crap?? Its not the gaffer's fault Flynn turned out to be crap....

I mean, its not A Flynn's choice that he's been crap, obviously, there has to be some other reason for turning in abject performances week after week. Ive heard the moon has been out of position lately, maybe this is the reason.

I commend the gaffer for making this decision of getting rid of a poor player.

Perhaps he needed to leave to allow McGivern and Phelan to continue in the hallowed red/white.

"Sinnott obviously under pressure after unfortunate reaction to few fans prostitations after end whistle."

Why what happened?

Afterwards, a few alty fans were giving LS frank opinions of the awful mess we had seen. He came over and exchanged views before being coaxed away by the coaching staff.

Its frustrating, some players arent being used as they should be. Midfield went to sleep too often putting pressure on the defence who were caught out by a good weighted ball over the top. BS had a game plan to get to half time 0-0 and battle for the 2nd. We didnt have a plan B and ran out of ideas.
Overall, we had a few chances but didnt really test their keeper.

Ah yes, Liverpool played a string first half team, including David James, banging out a first half 3-0 lead. After making a lot of changes, Alty equilased against a poor Liverpool outfit.

Lost against a team playing a simple counter attack game.
Hit bar twice and post. Team Lacked a combative midfield, captain didnt rouse his fellow players and team lacked imagination.
Twiss played further forward than he would be effective. Should have been played behind front two.

Sinnott obviously under pressure after unfortunate reaction to few fans prostitations after end whistle.

Personally, lacked width and midfield'd inability to shoot when given the chance. Obvious from 1st half BS would play counter game. Our inability to adapt cost us.
Dont think captain was vocal enough to rouse the guys after falling behind.

What is the point of having a captain who does naff all on the pitch??

BS played well for 1o mins then hit us perfectly in break.

We've not had many chances, those we've had are straight at the keeper.

Seem to be attacking ok, but lack width.

BS threat on counter.

Few chances created. Densmore hit bar and redshaw opportunity.

Clee and Lawrie seem to be changing position; but not staying wide enough.

Seems to have got some praise too..

The bbc states:
There was no place in the side for Rory Delap but long-throw duties fell to Shotton and he proved a highly capable replacement.
