Good.
Think he's going to need a shed load of luck too.

Well JL said it was a penalty and I didn't see much criticism of the Ref in his match report which suggests it may have been Collina or Howard Webb officiating this afternooni think we're all used to officials not being upto the standard that they should be. Yesturday was another one of those. Histon were very physical, and took full advantage of the ref's and assistant ref's poor eyesight.
JL is not the most appreciative sometimes of the Officials shall we say
Hence I suspect that it may well have been a Penalty, although admittedly I couldn't see from Sainsbury's in Altrincham
We classing Clive Moyo-Modise as South African? He is South African, but sadly has never made a senior appearance for South Africa. He has been capped at under 21 and 23 level.
Paddy Fagan played for Republic of Ireland and Alty back in the 60s
I dont think you can get away from the fact that if we turn up against the likes of Hayes, Bath and Histon playing the way we are, we will be lucky to come away with a draw. Some of the games, on paper, looked hard, but many fans may not question the end result, but more of the performances involved. If you go into a match with that kind of mindset - you will lose the games. After 8 games, you would have us on 2 points. So, not really good enough for the start of season. Yeah, the league is tough. Its hardly new news, weve known that for the last five years. Weve got a squad, i think, capable of doing 100% better than they are now. Ultimately, its down to the manager to inspire the lads. Something, that is hardly going to happen when he sulks throughout a match.
Let's pretend your are a bookie and have AFC down as a club who will finish 19th /20th this season (my prediction in the closed season.......forget play-offs!). What odds would you have given so far
Luton, Crawley, York.........no chance
Darlo & Mansfield at home.............likely to lose, may scrape a draw
Southport away........likely draw
Kiddie.........likely a draw
Gateshead......home win would edge it
At best then 4 points
I am not saying the players should go into any game thinking they will lose...you are quite correct, there is no place for that and any footballer that approaches the game that way should be left at home.
I am trying to stay optimistic and want to highlight that in my opinion our disasterous start, is in part, due to playing some pretty tough fixtures - fixtures the pundits and bookies would have given us little chance in anyway. If we had already played, Hayes, Bath, Histon etc at home then I would be devastated with our start - as it is, I'm just pi$$ed off!
Has anyone thought that Dale may have asked to be released and as we don't need anyone that isn't 100% commited then Graham agreed to the request? It seems quite convenient that he's expected to sign for a Blue Square North club today. He obviously already had this club lined up before being released. I may be way off the mark but it's a possibility.
Of all those people on this thread, who are "shocked" etc. to see Dale go, I have a question. How many of you slagged off Joe O'Neill, were glad ro see the back of him and please tell me how and why Dale is/was a better player?
Too many times Dales first touch let him down, just like Joe, he could hold the ball up and chase lost causes, just like Joe BUT he did not score as many goals as Joe. That was Joe's main problem he did not score enough, so how come Dale got so much adulation on here when he simply was not good enough.
