its fine you'll get there for 2.30 expecting kick off but the earlier team will have taken a bit longer as they had gaps in the play and didn't have the right bite, so kick off should be around 4.30

Too much jawing going on here and a lack of both scale and polish in the comments being made.

I have tried to extract the positives from here but am finding it hard to bridge the cavities apparent in the contributions so far which seem likely to buckle at any moment

Do I get the crown for the highest density of contrived puns in three lines of total rubbish? or maybe I only qualify for the plate??

There are rumours that they have signed former Third Lanark centre-forward Phil McAvity.

Could be some wisdom in that.........

Might be trouble filling the ground though.

Just a couple of soundbites. We need to look at the root causes for their position but I feel an injection could cure the decay.

As a side issue to the above I did happen to see Notts County v Mansfield in March this year.
Both clubs were in the bottom three of League Two (it's still Division 4 to me) and in desperate need of points.
It's a local derby here in the East Midlands and over 10,000 people turned up to watch.
Mansfield brought over 3,000 away fans and filled their allocation and they made more noise than I have ever heard from a football crowd. They were singing for 45 minutes before the kickoff. They sang throughout the first half and all through half time and into the second half. It was a truly awesome spectacle.

The match finished 0-0 and was awful.

Anyway I sure they'll get an injection of cash from the new owner, blah blah blah

Ahh yes, I'd forgotten that joke......played alongside his gay partner Ben Doon.

Maybe their new chairman will work them like a tartar until they scale the heights and polish off the opposition. Who knows they might even win a plaque.*
