You'd think in a town as well off as ours that there might be a Mr. Moneybags who'd give us a few bob no strings attached wouldn't you? If a sh*thole like Middlesbrough throws up Steve Gibson and his endless pit of cash then there must be someone in Alty who'd give us a bit of an injection...Just enough to go full-time and compete on an annual basis.

The thing with Altrincham is that you tend to get people moving into the area who have no affinity with the town and its football club. 

We’ve got new neighbours three doors up, the bloke is from Exeter and supports Manchester United (arm-chair fan of course).  Mention Alty FC to him and he looks puzzled. Classic Altrincham/Hale resident one could argue.

Mr Moneybags for Alty FC is a difficult man to find in my book!
