Hello everyone. My name is Mike Griffiths and I am the league secretary for the Northern Football Supporters League (NFSL). I am writing on this forum to see if anyone from Alty would be interested in entering a team in our league. The league is played on a simple and traditional home and away structure with a knockout cup running alongside with the final being played at a proper ground (in the past we have used Rhyl's Belle Vue and Northwich Victoria's new stadium and this years final will be played at Runcorn's brand new ground) and competing teams include Chester, Wrexham, FC United, Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton, Runcorn, Morecambe, Blackburn and Accrington. We have also had interest from teams from Bury, Hyde, Northwich and Stalybridge.

New teams have confirmed from Halifax and Tranmere already, the league would be fantastic if Alty came in too.

I have been playing in the league since its foundation in 2004 and can highly recommend that you join. If you have ever wanted to wear your clubs colours and compete against fans groups representing their clubs then this is the place for you. In fact it could not be easier to join, there is no lengthy administration process or FA affiliation to go through, and there is no paperwork to do either. All you need is someone to run the club and be manager, a squad of players and a home pitch and ref 8 or 10 times a year.
