In my attic earlier today I found a programme from 1978 FA Trophy Semi Final vs Runcorn...bizarre since I have only been a fan 3 years...

I'll probably keep it anyway but just out of interest is it at all rare?

on a side note, i was clearing out some stuff recently, got a couple of programs from 09/10 season.

Not sure if they are any good to someone, PM if you want them and i can give you them on saturday, if not they're just going in the bin.

Not really rare as there was a big crowd expected that day and a lot of programmes were printed. This was one of the subjects of the phone in on Radio Manchester after the game - someone called in to complain that the price had been raised from 10p to 15p

That superb footage gave me one of my new favourite Alty quotes.something like..."we were ripped off on the pitch and off it" because a striker was ill and we didnt go all out attack.

The controversy with the Runcorn game was related to the fact that both Jeff Johnson and Barry Whitbread had reached 3 bookings in the run up to the first leg but Jeff got suspended and Barry didn't! (Obviously Barry was at runcorn at the time).
