Personally I think they're both awful.

Love the plain back and red and white front like I mentioned earlier ... Name and number always stands out better on a plain red back and just looks more casual in my little needed opinion.

Have to stick with red and white even though the other kit is 'radical' and 'different' as others said...

To all forum members, bearing in mind, not only am I Goalkeeping Coach at the club, but an Altrincham FC supporter. The reason for considering such a radical change in the home shirt was the poor sales of replicas through the club shop this season. This is important income stream for the club. That may be down to the shirt, but I see 4 or 5 different red/white striped shirts at home games, which led us to think about a change in design. Regarding using my own brand, that is because, although I have access to all main brands (including Nike, Prostar, etc), the volume of pre-ordered replica shirts required from these companies is far in excess of sales of shirts in recent seasons. I can supply a single shirt if required in 3 or 4 days. And beyond that, my other items of merchandise have sold quite well, and if someone needs a polo urgently for example, I am usually able to supply within days. At weekend, I hope to have a couple of other options from my range available to view, the Yellow/Blue RIO and Red/Black ITALIA. I hope this explains the options released yesterday. I'm always free to discuss these options on match days.

Whatwould be wrong with red and white quarters.
We had those when I was knee high to a grasshopper and they would definitly be different.

I was going to get shirts for my 2 boys for xmas last year, but as Geoff Goodwin had stood down it seemed a fair bet that the sponsor would change and so we've held off.

Surely a new main sponsor (fingers crossed) would help shift some shirts next season?

I like the current kit.
