Delighted by this, an Altrincham lad playing for Altrincham.  I honestly believe he will be head and shoulders above a lot of the players

Shows good ambition as well as a club.

Welcome Danny!

Just watch this!

I promised a lot of people a long time ago that I would wear the red and white of alty during my career and I am very thankful for

Hear hear let's start this Saturday by beating Leamington then going on a sustained run and get back in the Conf prem and see some away fans on a regular basis.

Fantastic news - Over to you now Lee for some astute team selections - Its took you nigh on 2 1/2 years but today you have put that smile on my face  :D

For me this is up there with the return of Stuart Coburn and the signing of Colin Little.

This came completely out of the blue.  No hint or inkling that it was happening!  Amazing

I would also cite the arrival at Moss Lane of Mark Ward back in October 1998.

Let's hope that the signing of Danny Higginbotham will act as a similar impetus to propel us on to promotion.

Spot on Cult, forgot about Mark Ward actually being useful as a player!

Yes, regardless of his ill-fated spell as Alty manager and subsequent prison sentence, it should be remembered that the arrival of Mark Ward on the pitch really transformed Alty that season and proved to be the catalyst to us returning to the Conference.

Or perhaps I'm confusing all of that with the signing of Tony Rigby...?

Barry, having more grey hair than you (sorry you don't have any) I'd have to cite the arrival of Charlie Mitten, Ernie Taylor and subsequently Tommy Banks as the most outstanding breath of fresh air brought to the club by White & Swales. Wonderful times. I hope it can be repeated.
