Stockport release nine

According to Sky Sports News, Stockport have released nine players. Could any of them possibly do a job for us or are they likely to be out of our range?

Antbody know who they have released?

Stockport County have released nine players after clinching promotion to League one.
The list of departures is headed by striker Adam Proudlock, who scored 10 goals last season.
Long-term injury victim Rob Clare is also leaving Edgeley Park, ending his second spell with the club.
Chris Adamson, Adam Griffin, David Poole, Dan Ellis, Chris Coward, Craig Flowers and Amari-Morgan Smith are the other players to be released.
Manager Jim Gannon told BBC Radio Manchester that the club's youth policy had to come first.
"Our young players have all grown into becoming first-teamers," he said.
"I just hope the club's ambition can match where some of these young lads like Tommy Rowe and Liam Dickinson are going to go because some of them are destined for great things."

Anyone know anything about these players?

I know Proudlock could do a good job, but its unlikely he would go part time I would imagine.

Very unlikely that Proudlock would go part-time, certainly not on our wages.  He's a good player, would still be championship/league 1 if he had worked on his fitness more.

Adamson i know from his Wednesday days as well, much derided  there, but we arent looking for a keeper anyway.  Clare has been very unlucky with injuries, as he looked to have good potential when he was younger, if he could be persuaded a pay-as-you-play deal perhaps?

Stockport are proving a youth system can work and get you promotion with an average age of 22.

Proudlock was seen as a future England player when he was at Wolves. He would be a brilliant signing.

Isn't he in the Jody Banim (or even our beloved Pottsy?) mould - i.e. not averse to OD'ing on the old meat pies?

I think that that together with his levels of fitness spelt the end for him at County.

On the Wrexham site, someone mentioned whether they should be looking to sign him. Someone else then posted a picture of him swapping shirts (it looked like after the play-off final?) and I have to say if that's what he's let himself get like playing full-time, I wouldn't like to see him after 12 months part-time!

Having said that though, if he came here and scored us 15 to 20 goals next year (along with super-Col doing similar) I'd buy him a few pies myself!  ::)

According to my Stockport sources
Adam Proudlock - good but lazy

Rob Clare - good but always Injured.

Chris Adamson - dodgy keeper

Adam Griffin - left back good player worth looking at

David Poole - right wing and good

Dan Ellis, Chris Coward, Craig Flowers and Amari-Morgan Smith all poo.

Thats 2/3, a right back and a winger, both good.
