Ken was there to watch Jack Redshaw who is on loan from the club he is assistant manager at.

I think Heathcote was in the bar to pay respect to Mark Maddox who was being awarded life VP.

If our current squad had half as much heart and bottle as maddog then we would have pissed tonights game.

I was not his biggest fan and I have made this clear on many occasions. However, I like to think I'm a fair minded sort of person and without doubt he achieved some great things for this club, both as a player and a manager, which deserve to be recognised.

To be honest, the only thing this thread is achieving right now is to cause rifts between our fans. Sometimes, however bitter we feel about things, the best way forward is to draw a line under them and move on.

Given how few of the current squad were here under GH I don't think his presence would have any impact on them at all, nor do I think any other fans (or anyone else for that matter) would think his presence would undermine Lee.

I've always thought it odd that managers / players who profess to love the club and 'have always been fans' never show their face once they leave rather demonstrating they had been spouting guff for years.  He left over a year ago now get over it, being an ex-manager should not preclude you from being a fan.
