Title: Chris Denham..........
Post by: Longman on September 29, 2009, 10:09:16 PM
Thoroughly deserved his goal tonight, I thought he was exceptional in the second half.

Taking nothing away from Jamie Smith but Denham was my man of the match.

Made up with the comeback at the end, thought we were quite fortunate that the ref gave the pen but we deserve some bloody luck!

WELL DONE LADS.

First half we battered them

Second half we were clueless

WE WON SO WHO CARES

2 points from the play of places, I feel dizzy.

Enjoy it whilst we can.

Not bad considering our injuries.

Well done everyone.

I think his attitude and work rate so far this season have been first class.

Never stopped running.  Same for Senior but he's been like that anyway from the first time he pulled on an Alty shirt!

Keep it going lads!

So relieved we got the 3 points tonight!

Me and my bro chose James Smith for man of the match, because he played well for the whole game as Chrissy only woke up in the second half, but he was a close second. Smith has been an unsung hero. I thought we were very sluggish tonight but we had plenty of possession second half, but I feel a point would have been fair, not that I am moaning about the 3 points. We are in need of some tall players. Hey we scored from a corner and guess what.... it was a whipped ball in, about bleeding time. My thoughts during that game was what would my best eleven be with all our players fit. We really need height and strength so I thought

1) Coburn

RWB) Densmore ( having a bad a season at the moment )
LWB) Doughty
CB) Young
CB) Welsh
CB) Smith

CM) Lawton
CM) Kierney

LF) Senior/Little
CF) Johnson
RF) Denham

Even though Dale does not score much we definately miss him, Senior looked lost on his own all night. The above team would be good at home, plenty of height and strength. The defence would be nails !!!!

I would've given Doughty man of the match but Smith played well.

Smith was good but I would have given it to Chrissy Denham..

Smithy needs to learn to control his temper.. He was having a right pop at the linesman and already being on a yellow he was on dangerous ground.. We dont want to see more players out because of arguing with officials. (theirs only one winner there lads)

Couldn't disagree with you more. He may be playing out of position (for the benefit of the team) but is a quality player who always tries his best.

I know he is a quality player but half the player of last term, he needs to step it up, passing short and crosses are sh*te but I know he will come good and yes he does give everything which he should. Still in my first eleven as always !!!

I would've given Doughty man of the match but Smith played well.

Doughty made some very strong runs up the left - was very impressive.
