We might not be able to cover the whole pitch but iirc the main problem can be in front of the main stand where the morning sun doesn't thaw out the ground?
This assuming there is sufficient morning sun elsewhere. If the ground freezes a few days before, and remains so under cloud…even a bit of sun wont help the rest of the pitch.

Given the disappointment of last year, and the adverse conditions expected over Christmas…I’m surprised this hasn’t been flagged earlier. (Not to p*ss on the “play-offs” bonfire, and all the superb effort everyone is putting in…but surely we know where £1000 would be better spent?)
