Morecambe have signed striker Jack Redshaw from Altrincham for an undisclosed fee after he impressed the club on trial.

I doubt we've got a fee... But why would be an undisclosed fee? It's no secret he wasn't on a contract and therefore they could take him for free

Jack, thanks a lot for the fleeting but priceless football you have given us. No bitterness whatsoever from me to you, or the club. The terms were clear when you joined and nobody can blame you for having an understandable ambition. I wish you all the best and hope your football career soars, there is more than one way to skin a rabbit as you have now proved.

It's possible that's how Morecambe want it to be phrased? Perhaps their fans might not be too impressed with ''we've signed a kid who Rochdale released and has scored a couple of goal in the BSN as he wasn't on contract so we got him for nowt".

Undisclosed can mean anything you want.
