Greatest Altrincham performance ever

What would you say?
Is it a league or cup match or perhaps one of the Wembley finals?
I'm just reading up on my Alty history and would love your memories please?

If you want to do a top 5 then that okay.
Please try and add the date when the game was played. ( if possible)

Strictly as a performance I'd vote for Rotherham (the second time  ;), 15th December 1979 in the FA Cup Second Round.  Rotherham were very good - about 8th or something in the old Third Division, but we were sublime.  Barry Howard's goal still ranks as my all-time favourite (although I haven't seen Duncan's from today yet!).  Liverpool the next season was admirable too, and if Mal Bailey hadn't been injured.....

Agreed on Rotherham above. Our 1-1 draw at Goodison against an Everton side who were top of the League (albeit weakened by injury) is also a favourite. As was our identical scoreline at White Hart Lane in 1979.

I can't count our win at Birmingham as I wasn't there alas.

And our 3-1 win in the 1978 FA Trophy Final at Wembley against Leatherhead.

This would be my first choice followed by
Everton away 1975
Spurs away 1979
Birmingham 1986
Sheffied United both games 1981
Rochdale 1965

Barnet for me too.

Barnet for me as well.

Going through Alty with Jimmy on my shoulders after the game and then waving at the Barnet team coach at Moss Lane lights.  I think I was waving anyway.

The day everything went right...
