Altrincham FC is pleased to announce two new signings on the eve of their FA Cup tie at Lincoln City. Both players are eligible for selection for that First Round tie at Sincil Bank.
The new players are:
Curtis Obeng (d.o.b. 14 Feb. 1989): Curtis will be best known to Alty fans as a former Wrexham defender. He had very recently joined Macclesfield Town (27 October 2016) from Swansea City.
Curtis was at Wrexham from summer 2009 till January 2012 when he moved up to Swansea City and he spent nearly five years at the Premiership club. He was released in October 2016 but, whilst with the Welsh club, he had loan spells at four Football League clubs, namely Fleetwood Town (3 months), York City (one month), Stevenage (more than 3 months) and Newport County (3 months)
Simon Lenighan (d.o.b. 13 May 1994): Midfielder Simon joins Altrincham from Warrington Town. He started out with Leeds United (2012-15). From Elland Road he had loan spells with FC Halifax Town (February -June 2014) and Alfreton Town (February to April 2015). He then joined Rotherham United on a free transfer.
