The quickest that I can remember was Neil Doherty scoring on his debut against Welling at Moss Lane in early 1996.I think that it was about 22 seconds.

The previous quickest I can recall was Stuart Terry's effort after about 36 seconds against Yeovil in December 1994.

We went on to lose 3-1......

I'm sure Gazelle is right, but how?

One touch required then a punt is the only way? Who was the keeper?

I remember a game at Kettering where John Kavanagh or Steve Aspinall came on as sub for a throw in and scored - less than 10 seconds on the pitch.  Which was (rumoured to be) the fasted ever goal by a sub ever at the time.  We drew 2-2.  1984 or 85 I think.  It might even nhave been in the GMAC cup, although I think we lost that one 2-0.

Yes,it was John Aspinall. It was a Conference fixture & I think we fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.Aspinall's goal was the first if I remember correctly.

How quick was the first Don Weston goal in that great win over the Vics many moons ago?
