the the usual Sunday schedule.

The message accompanying the digital ticket gives the impression that
it's only temporary till the cards arrive. Given how late the cards came
last season we could be using the digital one for a while. People I know
that watch Premier League have digital tickets on their phone as routine.

The no off side at free kicks was trialed in the 1987/88 season and as with
the kick in was an open invitation to lump the ball into a very congested
goalmouth. Doubt neither of these would suit our style of football.

Personally the 7-0 at Crawley in the depths of winter. I wasn't in the
best of spirits waiting at Crawley station in the dark. Later in a pub
near Euston I had a very drunk Preston North End supporter very
down about them losing 3-1 at Loftus Road, almost a victory by our
standards that day.

I never saw a game in which kick ins were allowed, however a few years
earlier I'm sure the Conference was the league used to trial no off side
from direct free kicks. The fact that both only lasted one season speaks
volumes for their success? Certainly hope there are no plans to try them
again.
