That's only half the story because it doesn't say who knocked us out.

They haven't set the league alight but only lost to Cambridge on pens in the cup and kept a clean sheet over the 2 games . They will be fired up and capable of upsetting us.

Some big names in there....and not so big . A grim reminder of our woeful trophy record  over the last 20 years...and more .  Is it really 36 years since Mike Farrelly's scorcher hit corn's net.

Its over £100k prize money in total for the winner, so its worth a shot just for that.

Thaw set in as predicted and now assume game will be on.

Assume same line-up as last game as we look to progress in the Trophy. should be an interesting game.

At £15.00, I'm hoping we'll see a full strength, first choice team

I agree. The more times the first choice eleven play together, the more successful they're likely to be. They need to be settled and confident for the two games with Halifax. They're likely to be low scoring matches and our defence needs to be up to the mark. I would suggest our front lads will get few chances against their apparently well drilled defence so we will need to snap up the ones which come their way. Not a time to fiddle with the team selection I think.

I'm hoping that we play our normal 1st XI and can see so reason why not tbf.  The team had shown a degree of confidence that was lacking in the early part of the season and I'd want to secure and embed that before the next round of league fixtures.  That aside, I think a strong cup run offers something extra that we've sadly missed.  Looking forward to it.
