Has to be a doubt if his snow continues
-
If it freezes as predicted, that will be the problem.
-
We should already be two weeks into the mid-season break ::)
-
On the BBC weather site it is forecast to be below zero until lunchtime tomorrow and also lots of fog around.
-
Yet again York misses the snow. Grrrr.
-
I see no-one has done it yet so i will but the snow has largely melted in my parents garden in Timperley which obviously means it will be a DISGRACE if the Nunny game is off tomorrow.
-
Recently back from my Mum's...........6 inch of snow there overnight and people cannot cope.........grrrrrrrr - it used to happen every year in the 70's when I was a kid, but now nobody is used to it anymore. Damm global warning.... ;D
-
Unusual for snow to come in from the west. Maybe the end of the world is nigh. Maybe it's the North Koreans. Forecast for tomorrow is below zero all night and the only hours it rises as high as zero is while the game is on.
-
No snow in Altrincham now and currently 2 degree - indeed it will be a farce if the game is off tomorrow
-
Cheers for the local weather updates - won't bother bringing my sledge to Alty later tonight.
Game on as far as I can tell.

What if the weather doesn't go above freezing before kick off as predicted here?

thats pretty mild for the time of year......even by our own lame standards of getting games on - would be a farce if its off
The fog should be the only threat

The snow didn't come from the west, the depression did, which was originally rain and after then hitting the cold air dragged in from the north turned to snow.
Would be very odd if the game gets called off. The ground temperature hasn't been that bad and should still be quite soft. I suspect it'll be bitterly cold though.

Didn't think we had lame standards at getting games on but I hope you're right.
Never a better time to play Nuneaton and we are going well plus the club will need the Saturday gate/bar money against the Tuesday income so will be desperate to get it on.
Will be a few other non league fans looking for a game as a lot will be off tomorrow and Utd away at lunchtime should boost it a bit.
-
From the top of the hills in Saddleworth this morning, is wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and by the time we returned to other end of Oldham at half 1 all the snow had cleared. Unless we get some black ice around tonight I would be surprised if it was off.

generally very reliable and accurate. Shows temps above freezing for a few hours before the game.
-
I happened to pop down to the ground this lunchtime, so when I was there, I had a quick look at the pitch.
The pitch looked absolutely perfect, soft with no snow or ice on it, and as far as I could see no standing water at all.
Therefore, short of any dreadful weather, I would be amazed if we don't have a game tomorrow afternoon.

Thoroughly looking forward to deepening the frostbite in my hands tomorrow.
-
Disappointed theres been no back garden inspections in the greater Altrincham area in the last 4 hours.
Thats begging Hamilton to make a daft comment. im talking about weather related matters not some poor lass being taken from behind by Jenga in a pub car park!

Although sadly not able to offer the much anticipated "back garden" perspective I can, as a very poor alternative, offer a frozen car windscreen if that's any use??
