I thought so too, but we managed to play a team possessed. These results happen - unfortunately mostly to us.

I think GH will be given the chance to work with the loanees & we will survive.

rubbish, oxford aren't a team possessed. they are an ordinary side as their results have shown. we've rolled over and let them walk all over us.

I'm someone in between the views here.  I think we need to be wary of feeling sorry for ourselves, people keep talking about our run of bad luck and teams playing well against us.  Against Northwich we had a good amount of luck- red cards were rushes of blood and injury as well.  Oxford aren't as bad as recent form, but they will have been helped out of their rut by our weakness.

I'm still hopeful of avoiding relegation, 4 from 6 to be relegated now which is a bit better.  Obviously important that we get some good results against the other 5 teams.

i personally would give gh until end of jan , let loan signings settle in.avoiding defeat v kiddy is vital.

Have you got a crystal? If so whats tonight lottery numbers?

You could try these numbers, all stats taken from today's annihilation at Oxford :

1 : Alty corner
4 : Goals conceded
13 : Fouls by Alty
22 : Time of McAllister's goal
41 : Time of Duffy goal (PEN)
44 : Alty % possession

Good luck!!!!!!!

we need someone who can organise a defence. if graham can't do it and the board still want him to manage, then let's get a coach who can.

MAD DOG: Graham's No2? ? ? ?

First of all if GH is to go then the end of Jan would be the worst time for him to leave. That would mean a new man coming in with no chance to change things. Secondly he needs a competent number 2 with coaching experience at a decent level and ideally new and fresh ideas. Mad Dog does not fit either criteria.

Hasnt he played under GH for a number of years? Also hes more likely to be a Yes man because of their realtionship.

I've never heard Mark being described as a yes man before...I'm sure he'd be highly entertained. This being the relationship where Mad Dog was shipped out of the Club he loved instead of players who were less committed and less effective.

You have a remarkable insight into Oxford and yesterday's game considering (as usual) you were not there. If you really think we LET THEM walk all over us you need your head testing. They were simply far better than us on the day and we need to draw a line under it and get on with the next game.

p.s. We are at home on Tuesday night but I expect you'll just give it a miss and criticise from the comfort of your own home. It hurts me a lot that I miss as many games as I do and it makes me sick that you live round the corner from Moss Lane yet still can't be arsed to go most of the time. Maybe stop being such a smug T**t and actually get behind the lads?

I'll let UC defend himself in due course.....but I'm pretty sure that he mentioned in one of his posts yesterday that he had rearranged his work shifts to allow him to attend the Kidderminster game on Tuesday.

Alty365, I know where you are coming from as regards suffering in exile....but, if it's any comfort to you, you have probably been better off missing out on experiencing some of the trauma at Moss Lane this season to date!

The thing is I don't mean any offence towards UC or anyone else for that matter, but some people genuinely appear to revel in our poor form and this is something I can't understand.
