Altrincham aim for the football league
« on: November 29, 2009, 08:52:13 AM »

The club WILL be applying to enter the league should we get a top 5 finish. However the cost for the application is £1000.Obviously as in previous years the priority has been to stay up,rather than go up,these monies havent been budgetted for and need covering. We need fans to do their best to raise £1k in the next couple of days as a matter of urgency.Im sure we are up to the challenge. We need rosie to post the paypal address on here again today for remote donations, and for people to donate at tuesday match

I'll pledge the first tenner and hand it over on tuesday,I realise its nearly christmas and money is tight. But we must be ready should the situation arise.Hopefully the club will make their league ambitions known to the media this week,it would be a great bit of positive PR.Rosie will put the paypal address on here today for exiles to do thier bit.Lets have this money raised asap to show the club we back thier ambition to get where we should be, after 29 years of injustice!

I will donate a tenner on Tuesday, more if I can afford it. I understand the sentiments Joe, but what if we did end up in the playoffs but had not applied.

I can't afford it but I will also pledge a tenner.

As I said I don't believe that we will make the playoffs however stranger things have happened.  We could get on a run and who knows where that would take us.

It would set the club back years for us to be buzzing about the playoffs, people talking in the pubs about it then the bombshell announcement that actually we won't be in them.

People who did not understand the ins and outs of the clubs would just see it as a laughing stock.

Think of it as your admission fee for yesterdays match at Kettering and please give what you can....

Will pop a tnner in as soon as I can, but how about getting behind the lads and getting into the next round of the FA Trophy, thats worth 5 grand.

Goes without saying that the fans will be behind them for the trophy.

I don't beleive we are going to make the playoffs this season.

BUT

Given our progress year on year, it's in out sights for  next season surely.

Could definitely see a top ten finish at best if we can stop the rot at home on Tuesday

Think I have said before, but count me in for a tenner.
Might be on strike, but will find it for THE ALTY.
