Missed penalty.
Goalkeeping blunder.
Does anyone else get the feeling that we are doomed?
-
Keep going lads, get Coburn on.
-
we cant afford mistakes like that one....
-
Come on Reevesy
-
Thought that Dootson could be a decent signing when news broke of his arrival at Moss Lane but he's been most unimpressive in my view.
James Coates was probably better, on reflection.
-
Cult, I fully agree.
-
I make you right cult.
Forget everyone else, we have to make our own luck and if I did my job the way these guys do theirs there'd be multiple road deaths daily
-
2-0 great

This is a disaster.

2-0 down.....and yet another miserable afternoon of praying that results elsewhere are favourable to our cause.
-
OMG, Ken we need to go for it second half. Bring Johnson on
-
Couldn't even hold out till H-T.
-
2-0 down.....and yet another miserable afternoon of praying that results elsewhere are favourable to our cause.
..and that doesn't look too likely either at the moment
-
doomed.i think cant take chances, and they we gift them a goal.
-
There is more chance of Gadafi surrendering than Alty winning this game
-
the pen miss and a keeper mistake, nightmare
-
"44 Seddon lobs Dootson 2-0"
arent most of the goals scored against Doots either long range or lobs? thought he would learn about his positioning...
-
HT sounds like we are doing well apart from being 2 down
-
to be fair the second goal sounds like it was a great finish, should we really risk Johnson if he has a knock, save him for next week or will it be too late??
-
Dootson is very poor positionally, sh*te, I have been worried for months
-
Possible Xmas trip to Edgeley Park looks a long, long way off now........ :(
-
im looking at the table now on sky live score and i feel sick,if we ever need 45 mins its now,and we need york to pull there fingers out.

-
Darlington are making a game of it at Hayes, pulled back to 3-2
-
Now Hayes 3 Darlo 2. Though I would swap 2 Darlo goals for 2 Alty goals.
-
Sounds like we're being overrun :( :o :-[
-
It sounds like we are being totally ripped to shreds in this second half.

I suspect he means that he's resigned to the fact that we are not very good.
-
I do hope that's what he means
-
A few cards flying about today.
-
Dont see the resignation bit although i have been resigned to relegation for some time .
As along distance fan i think the current manager should be given his chance to get us back up next year . almost looking forward to my pints of holts at droylesden next xmas.
now there is a positive mental attitude Napolean hill would b e proud of me

2-1 Dale
-
York 2-1 down now
-
They are wasting time now :D
-
Come on Alty
-
Once, just once...
-
One big period of added time at two places.
-
well done dale...what an absolutly fantastic decision to let him go early season....
-
The reality is that evenj after spending over the planned budget we're not good enough. So, if we survive we start off £30k down.. £30k lower budget than this year. Outcome.. bottom 4 all season, win 5-10 games. Alternative, BSN, budget OK for mid table finish 2012, win more games than we lose, start to rebuild and get used to winning. The last 5 years has been so hard, winning so few games... time to re-build. Not waht many of you want to hear but realsitic.
-
3-1,
the budget will still be £30000 short for next season no matter what league we are in
-
2-1 its a miracle waiting to happen come on woops no its not 3-1
-
2-1 Dale
Always leave it too late. Imagine if we'd scored the pen and Dootson had held the shot.....?
-
Beat Newport or its all over IMO.
Gutted.
-
Over and out...thanks for the commentary
-
another party game v newport.....let's hope the invited players turn up and bring their bottle!!!!
The annoying thing for me is that we have believed all season that these players are good enough....we have been undone time and time again by individual erros and stupid reckless challenges / indiscipline that have cost us.
I agree the rebuilding on budget is gonna mean a tough season even in BSN.
-
York 1-2 Tamworth F-T
sh*te.
-
I agree the rebuilding on budget is gonna mean a tough season even in BSN.
Especially when a large part of next season's (potentially reduced) budget consists of Twiss' salary.....unless we somehow manage to jettison him from the wage bill.

One would hope that there is some kind of relegation clause...

Please, God, yes.
But I sincerely doubt that there will be.
-
Barring a major miracle we're doomed.
C'est la vie and unfortunately we're not good enough to be in this league as much as it hurts be to say it.
We've tried with limited resources and looked quite good at times but without major investment all we're ever going to strive for is 5th from bottom year on year.
I hope that there is a miracle before the end of the season but I doubt there will be.
Just want to say our first half vocal support was superb today despite that fish and that fat bald prick.
Still proud to be Alty but I've lost my mojo finally
-
when every ones fit and available which they rarely, are we have a mid table side , 9 points prob needed now just cant see it but will live in hope
-
I didn't think we played at all badly until they scored. Then their tails went up, our heads went down, and it was all over at half time. So dispirited that we left in the 86th.minute and missed the last two goals. We MUST win on Saturday - but it may already be too late I'm afraid.
-
They had the two fattest centre backs I have ever seen playing professional football......yet, they were hardly even troubled by us.
I am afraid our budget does not allow us the quality and depth needed to play at this level.
-
I suppose Fleetwood sum this league up really.......last season they finished runners up to Southport, a team who will be relegated, whereas they have the dosh to make the play-offs
-

Lovely finish by Dale then Baynes fannied about with it, lost possession and they banged their third in.
-
That's pretty much how i saw it. Alty started well and had the penalty gone in, well who knows. The first goal was the killer though. To be honest, a Sunday League goalie would have been dissapointed to have let that in. It completely knocked the stuffing out of the team. But Dootson didn't learn and a few minutes later invited a simular shot over his head that ended the contest.
Fleetwood deserved the win, but they weren't that good. As for their Stadium. They're making a damn fine effort of it. but i thought the facilities for the away contingent were Evo-Stick League standard. Turning on the sprinklers 5 minutes before kick off and spraying everyone behind the goal was a nice touch!!!
All in all, just a look around the Fleetwood setup and the money they have available shows the size of the task that Alty have, just taking part in this league. I'm afraid that Part time clubs are now going to be a rare thing in the 5th Tier of English Football.

Totally agree about Dootson. think he's been lobbed at least once in every game I've seen him play for us. Granted, heade some damn fine blocks today but the damage had already been done. I ain't blaming him for the defeat cos that ain't fair but why doesn't he learn?
-
We need to beat Newport and hope Southport beat Tamworth....i have no idea if we'll turn up against Newport or not but i'm not confident of Southport winning there.
Nothing to say about todays game at all. Half arsed predictable no shows all over the pitch once again.
I'll be putting in an official complaint to whoever it needs to go into to about the behaviour of their mascot. I've no problem with their fans giving us loads, I cannot accept an employee or official of the opposition being allowed to goad and taunt us for 45 mins. I have never seen anything like it in my life. He could have caused a riot.
He didnt appear after half time, I hope he was sacked.
-
And as for Fleetwood itself...it was like My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding live.
-
Apart from no red cards all went as expected.
Bloody chips were cold though!
Believe York told Young to keep his phone on. so Williams might play the full 90 on Saturday.
Glad to Twiss not involved and we looked better when Johnson was on.
Wes Baynes, what can you say?
-
hopefully the no show of the T**t in the fish suit was deposited into the deep fat fryer in the chippy opposite the ground ;)
The git announcer was an annoying bastard also
-
Didn't think we'd get much from this one and I was proven right, BUT it feels a hell of a lot worse after that penalty miss. I thought Joseph was our best player today, was solid from start to finish. The midfield seemed completely anonymous and we were second to every ball (although Lawton was running his socks off but can't do it alone) Clee had moments of class but, again there isn't much point if that class comes to nothing. Reeves struggled up front on his own, not his fault as he wasn't getting much at all in the way of assistance and I think that including the goal, we had maybe 3 chances overall?
We're hanging on by a thread, if we get beaten by Newport I fear it will be curtains for us.
-
Long train home with the bloody wigan fans
-
Gutted after that yesterday. Thought we started off ok until Bateson went off injured. They didnt really show very much until they scored the first goal. Theres been a lot of criticism of Dootson for the first two goals, but how far was Clancy allowed to advance unhindered for the first, and then Seddon allowed to carry the ball parallel to the penalty area without a challenge before his goal.
Agreed with the earlier post, about not minding opposition giving us a bit of stick, however the masctos behaviour was ridiculous, as was the two stewards in the segration area laughing about it and not ushering the mascot away.
I hoped at half time that we come out and have a go in the second half but it never really came. We need to have scored earlier to got something. Thought there keeper made a great save to cclaw the ball off the line (cant remember who's effort it was).
On a final note, Kenny can you please send Baynes back to Wrexham. He has no fight for the battle ahead.
-
Afraid we have got Baines until the end of the season.
Why does Ken keep playing him though?
Not only do the majority of fans think he hasn't the stomach for the fight some of the other players don't think he has either.
I heard both Densmore and Lawton make some very uncomplimentary remarks to him yesterday.
-
Reportedly Baines is incredibly good in training
-
Reportedly Baines is incredibly good in training
But he's fatuous in competitive matches.....and has been for weeks.
I can only presume that the principal reason that he keeps getting selected is that otherwise we would have to pick the even more abject Beesley...
-
Since when was Sean Clancy good? Swear he was an average left back when he played for us? He tore us apart yesterday, deserved MOM.
-
I had a word with one of the stewards at half time about that mascot. I told him that it was an absolute disgrace, it was antagonistic and there were a sizable group of people that were willing to give him a smack which, while deserved, would have resulted in them getting kicked out which wasn't fair.
To be fair he said he'd have a word which he did and the mascot wasnt there in the second half.
Fleetwood is a strange place, especially the fat prick that bared his arse at us. If that was one of us we'd have got kicked out straight away.
If I saw that mascot in the street I wouldnt think twice about giving it a good kicking. If that was a bunch of stockport or oxford fan subjected to that it would have come to blows very quickly.
Also, cupping your "ear" to a bunch of fans when they have just gone a goal down is not on. Especially when you're a fish that doesnt even have ears. Basic, basic, inbred scum.
-
Since when was Sean Clancy good? Swear he was an average left back when he played for us? He tore us apart yesterday, deserved MOM.
He's a class act......could do very well & play at a considerably higher level.
I can only remember him starting one game for us.....& of course he was playing in a struggling side.
He's not dissimilar in style to Gareth Bale & also seems to have really benefitted by playing in a more attacking role.

Mister Flynn,
Clancy made his Alty debut at left full back in that 3-2 BSP victory over Droylsden at Moss Lane on Saturday, 22nd September 2007 (the one where we ended up with Jake Sedgemore in goal).
Prior to that fixture, we had failed to register a single victory in our opening ten league matches.
Ironically, Clancy was given a torrid time by a certain Chris Denham and he was eventually substituted after 51 minutes.
-
I remember that Clancy played away at Woking and I seem to recall he was deployed at left back. Consequently he looked like a bit of a fish out of water.
-

That was Ryan Shotton's debut.Did Clancy come on as a substitute?
He was considered to be a left back at that time.
-
Back then, the fact that we had signed Abbey Clancy's brother was more important than a left back said it all, I do remember him getting abseloutely skinned a fair few times when he was with us and nobody batting an eyelid when he left
-
Clancy played the last quarter of an hour at left back in the 2-2 draw at York where Joe O'Neill got the injury time equaliser. I believe that was his debut.
-
Did Clancy come on as a substitute?
I think he did Brian. Carlos Logan was spectularly unspectacular on the left wing that day.
