Given that we had half the youth team playing in that match I doubt it was a true test of his ability.

As far the name ? it's skill during thwe winter we're after !!  ;)

Some interesting comments here good and bad, he's certainly a progressing player with decent ability, proberbly a fringe player for us

Heard the contract being negotiated before when at the club.

Looks a decent signing, pleased to see us getting younger players.

I doubt we  have signed him to win the league single-handed.

Obviously been identified as a good young lad we can bring on...great to see us signing people with potential as well.

Welcome to Alty Brian...

He'll probably be back up to Richman anyway, let's see how he does in pre season.

Considering we've got a reduced playing budget for next season it makes all the sense in the world to sign young players with potential.

Give me young "unknown" players over sh*t like Baynes and Beesley any day of the week.

Welcome to Alty and good luck Brian!

I remember a Vics player getting wound up by Alty fans at the CSC final match and then getting subbed.  Was it him ?

Anyway good luck to him and I wish Brian all the best in his career at Alty..

I also remember the ducks. They Nutmegged Twissy a couple of times  ;)

Come on mate, you've never even heard of him and certainly don't know whether he's a good signing or not.

Give the lad a chance to show us what he can do.

Welcome to Alty Brian - just give it 100% and you can't go wrong here.

From another thread, people's opinions of Warren Peyton, and also Robbie Lawton don't agree with this.
Anyway, good luck to the lad, lets hope he's another Danylyk- someone we've never heard of but turns out to be quite useful

I think it was Jamie Phoenix, whose over-the-top celebrations after one of the Vics' goals incurred the wrath of some Alty supporters, prompting vociferous comparisons between him and a vagrant hailing from the Benchill area.

Are you basing that purely on his age?

Ian Craney was 19 when he first joined Alty, who's to say he won't be as good as he was?

You've got yourself a ball player with loads of potential... when you play in the Cheshire Cup.

You've got yourself a lost lamb when the oppo have an experienced centre-mid playing.  ;D

Don't we have a good record of improving former V*cs players? Val Owen is the first player that comes to mind.

Looked good yesterday. He & Danylyk seemed to combine well 2nd half. Early doors, but certainly one to watch in my view.

Yes I thought they jelled quite well.

I think  Lawton's best position is at right back!

He sounds promising, but BSN is such a physical league how do fans who saw him yesterday think he will cope/develope to handle that?

Its no good having a Geoff Capes XI though..we need to mix it up a bit.

I think Lawton, Richman and Danylyk will be more than physical enough, and Summerskill will be the skill guy.

In fairness to all the new signings / trialists They have only had 90 mins (or a part of 90 minutes) to show what they can do.

Far too early to say whether or not they will be good enough....  I'm sure Lee Sinnott will sort it all out by 13 Aug
