Darius Palma has signed for Curzon Ashton from Trafford. Great move for him, and Curzon have always played good football, so I'm interested to see how he gets on.

Also not sure if anyone missed it yesterday but Frank Mulhern has signed for Spennymoor Town from Stockport County.

Been very impressed with Buxton's recruitment throughout the summer, too. Looking forward to seeing what they're priced at.

I know it's a long (way) shot but aren't Dover's players all on a free transfer? Have they got anyone we might want? (I seem to remember Deverdics was at Dover, now at Gateshead)

Deverdics was indeed at Dover, and a few years earlier Barnet. He's played in both Iceland and the Faeroes too. But the North of England is his home patch (he was with Gretna in their SPL days). He's been rather a "have boots, will travel" type of player, but they're a rare breed. Dover's squad are more likely to be dispersed to the likes of Ebbsfleet, Dartford, or Maidstone.

Chester speak of getting Matty Waters back, who they rate highly. Only 22, could we nick him for left back / cover?

We were discussing Waters on another thread, I think he'd be a really shrewd signing if his best years are ahead of him.

p.s. when I suggested Alty to him on Twitter, he liked the tweet...
