Newcastle play Sunderland on the saturday? Good job the game was moved, the wearing of a red and white striped shirt in town would have been perhaps unwise!

That probably means that we are guaranteed to be in the draw for the First Round as it is normally made after the Fourth Qualifying Round games on the Saturday!

Kingston Park is situated in the poshest park of Newcastle, the ground is very nice being a relatively new ground, has excellent facilities and lots of parking, a great bar and all that.  Oh and it's 20 mins from my house.  Yippee!

My nearest side, Merstham play in the Southn equivilent of teh Unibound Div 1 North so are a similar standard to Newcastle BS.
This may be a banana skin,  but if we cant beat them comfortably we may as well give up - even if forbid we return to early season standards.
Merstham charge £8 Adult and £5 for my 6 year old son - so it would be cheaper for me to watch Creapy Crawley as they charge £12 adult and no fee for the nipper - but I have principals !!!
Also I thought for FA Cup matches against teams from a higher division, the FA required home teams to raise their prices ? This definately use to be the case.
I know you are not allowed to lower admission charges, which also applies to CSC games.
Man U wanted to lower prices when they played Burton in order to fill OT for the replay, but Burton would not accept it.

I'm a Blue Star fan and I'm surprised it's been  moved to the Sunday. The Rugby cub are playing on the Friday night and Newcastle are away at Blunderland so it won't effect that gate, the mackems only give us 2500 tickets. I'm also a toon season ticket holder and i've got a ticket for the stadium of sh@te but I was going to give it to a mate in preference of waching on TV first and then watch you mancs get a good kicking for 90 minutes afterwards!!!

Mancs? You've opened a can of worms there mate. You'll be getting slagged off shortly by the oldies who remember the days of Altrincham being under the jurisdiction of Cheshire.

PS. Colin Little brace will mean Blue Star 1 - 2 Alty

Trafford Borough Council these days; Consequently we have the Metrolink, Greater Manchester Police, a vote on the congestion charge, the freedom to keep grammar schools and various other things.

However, we maintain the right to write Cheshire on our addresses  ;D

actually i was explainng that to one of the lads i took along on sunday. he's from north shields and says they have always objected to being in tyne and wear (its the wear part they object to) so he still writes nortumberland on his letters.

I've asked around and NBS are no mugs, they are a very solid team with a couple of match winners in Brayson (sp?) + Nicholson.  Let's not take this for granted.

Oh another fascinating fact.

In 1985 NBS signed Trevor Brooking on a one-match deal for which he was paid £500, shortly after he retired.  They really wanted George Best, but I think he was in the pub or in a Miss World's bedroom at the time.

will it be segregated? because i doubt you can move around the ground at free will.

yes you can move around as there isnt segregation @ kingston park unless they put visitors in the main stand.then again theres nothing to actually stop you from getting up & moving.why would there be segregation anyway? you alty lot are ok are'nt you

they,ve had complaints about catering before & apparently trying to put it right but in case you dont want to chance it & you want something for dinner( you'll probably call it lunch! being from manchester, cheshire or wherever you are these days) there is the local shops(kingston park shopping centre) 1 minute away, where theres a mc donalds & tesco with cafe & yes i believe they sell stotties there

was at the last match @ blue star the day after rugby & the pitch was good.in fact i've seen worse pitches on grounds that dont have rugby played on them.
