Should the worst happen and NVFC go out of existence what happens to the league?

Do all teams who have played them lose their points and the goal difference is reset?
Do all teams get granted 6 points?
Do all teams get granted 6 points and goal difference?

How would this affect Altrinchams league position?

Lets hope it doesnt happen for the sake of football and rivalry but I would like to know what happens should it happen.

All their results would be void and only three clubs would be relegated. As they are at the bottom this would not be any help to clubs fighting relegation.

The official term is that their record is "expunged" meaning all points and goals for/against are deleted, as happened previously with Newport County some years ago.

So as we have not played NVFC this would help us by removing 13 teams x 3 points and 2 teams x 1 point.

I hope it doesnt come to this but on the flip side it can only help Altrincham, would prefer this kind of thing to happen to Crawley not Vics.

wont the teams that have not played Vics be at a disadvantage becasue the others will get the points they gained against them?

or do they loose thosew points?

Vics will not fold.

They'll come back from this and, sooner than you think, they'll be mocking us all again once they think they're safe - just like they always have done (apart from a very select few supporters) when we've had problems in the past.

I'm sorry, I've tried to keep out of this one but I'll burst if I don't say this.

Having said all that, I'm sorry for what their genuine fans are feeling (the ones who haven't taken the p**s out of us spitefully in the past - and that can't be many!) but when it comes right down to it, all I really care about is the future prospects and good health of my own team - ALTY.

Whupping the Vics at Christmas is fantastic but we haven't had it often in the recent past and they were drifting into the background anyway to be honest (just like Macc have now done and even, in the dim and distant past, Wigan).
