Despite their manager wringing his hands in woe about their injury problems, the Spireites haven't lost since September 28th, and their record since then is 7-2-0 with a goals record of 23-5. They've only conceded more than once on a single occasion during this run.
This is a tough one for us, and if we can take a point it'll be a good achievement.

is it pay on the gate or what I’ve not seen any media regards ticketing arrangements
-
Entrance N3 apparently

Chesterfield are one of the 3 huge teams who have spent fortunes on their squad.
A draw would be bloody brilliant.
-
Just printed off the tickets.
£7.00 for a car park space at the ground. Haven’t been there before so at least I won’t have to hunt for a space anywhere. Anyway, I expect the car will be gleaming after they have washed and valeted it ffs.
-
A real tall order this one, would be delighted with a point. New ground to tick off mind but fond memories of the old Saltergate and our Unibond League Cup final win in ‘98.
-
As everyone else says, a real tough game this as I'm sure Parky and co know already. Interested to see how he lines up the team on this one.
A point or more will be a Mega achievement.
Come on Alty
-
Parky hinted at a change in tactic in the Weymouth interview. Maybe an extra body in central midfield.

So can you not go without a printer (or smart phone)?

I’m sure u can

They have specially modified turnstiles so you can get in with a printer however they must be securely strapped to your back.

There's a quite obvious 'collect at ground' option.
-
For anyone trying to book parking, they've taken that offline for some reason so you have to phone their ticket office and pay that way.

I know I could be jinxing us, but I've got a positive feeling about tonight's game.
It's unusual for me as I'm a bit of a pessimist but I can see us getting something out of it.
Come on you mighty Robins!

Any change at half time?
Come on Alty.
Edit. Cap doffed sir.
-
An injury and availability update would be nice after this.
-
Told ya! 😉
-
I can't remember being as proud to be an Alty fan.
-
That is a fantastic point. Stunning.
Congratulations to Alty.
-
What a brilliant team! Just love it!
-
Absolutely quality lads. Never give up.
Maybe it is time to give Whitehead and Pringle a few games in CM. Love Moult but I think we just need more quality in there.
Also, Leitch-Smith up top.
Quality point.
Also stick with our favored formation. Much better second half.
-
Four from six in two away games is superb. Just need three more on Saturday. Southend are having a dodgy time and if they're to come good let's hope it's after next weekend.
-
Hard fought point, fair play to tactical half time change. Digie will fell a tad hard done being the one to be subbed.
The more I see of Dinange the worse he seems, Leitch-Smith must surely start Saturday. As must Pringle instead of Porter.
Hampson looked a bit rusty (as you'd expect) but a huge upgrade on Fitzpatrick.
-
Digie was unlucky to be subbed but someone had to be sacrificed.
A few faces missing tonight. Let's hope it's not Covid related.
Great way to finish a game. Almost better than a win.
-
Great performance and yet another late comeback for a well deserved point.
On the substitutions, Digie was very unfortunate to go off. I am not convinced that A-Jay Leitch-Smith is fully fit, although he was certainly lively enough in his cameo performance, while I really struggle to see why Ben Pringle is not starting each match.
Good stuff tonight, though,
-
Great point.Whats happened to Baggley and Walker ?
-
What a night. Incredible point against all the odds. Thought we did amazingly well to stick to the game plan and build up to our goals which were thoroughly deserved in the end. Chesterfield were an excellent side with threats all over the pitch so it came as a bit of a surprise to see them capitulate and fold so easily after we scored our first..almost like they were shocked we managed to break their lines. They seemed to panic after that and we did to them what they’d been doing to us all game. Great games from Mullarkey and Kosylo but everyone put in a shift. Subs well made and all brought something to the team when they came on. Well done to Parky and the lads it’s put a smile back on my face after Gateshead.
Just a note for Chesterfield’s ground and facilities too which were absolutely superb. No idea what they’re doing in this division but it shows how well we’re doing to not only be here but to be competitive as well.

Reminds me of the rules on swords when Barrow played Hartlepool a few years back (Hartlepool fans were going as St. George, foam swords were ok).
-
Superb night watching the lads get a deserved point against Chesterfield at a superb stadium.
In all my years watching Alty. ( Since the late 1950s). Tonight’s comeback is up there with one of the best nights I’ve had watching them..
I’ve said it often but, Dinanga isn’t the solution and Ben Pringle should start every game if fit, So far this season of the teams I’ve seen us play against Grimsby have impressed the most.
Can’t wait for Saturday, Bring on the The Shrimpers.
It was great to sit near the singers tonight, I’m a bit hoarse now
Also nice to see a proud Co Chairman celebrating at the end of the game
Well done to Parky, Sorvs and the lads
Onwards & Upwards.
-
Listening to Radio Robins it sounded like the Alty fans made most of the noise, or was that to do with where they were sat? The commentators were so fair to both sides which is a credit to them but they certainly knew how to react to the goals, particularly number 2. Excellent stuff. Keep it up Brian.

Wow. Down to bare bones and the refs fault for adding in an extra few seconds. Try being down to your last 8 or 9 at lunchtime if the match mate!
-
Yep another manager who can't even say our name!! Disrespectful and rude. Boo hoo
my heart bleeds

It’s striking that our style of football is bridging a fitness gap if you can be scoring injury time winners (Dag) and equalisers (last night) at the league leaders.
I think most teams there at 0-2 would’ve (and indeed have) folded.
Edit: we’re about the third team to score an injury time equaliser at Chesterfield but the others were Torquay Bromley and Borehamwood so two top eight sides.

What a disingenuous T**t he sounds. Fkn hard done by, my Arse.
I would love to see the like of him to try and stay in this league on a small budget.
Give credit where it is due you fkn Nobhead.
See you next season at your place
PS get your fkn scoreboard fixed.
-
He is very often an absolute p**** in his post match interviews. Indeed, his view is reflected by many Chesterfield fans who bemoan their 'injury crisis' while conveniently overlooking the fact that their squad represents the cast of thousands compared to ours. From what I remember, PP simply got on with it when covid struck and we had 4 kids on the bench nobody had ever heard of.
-
I found it quite funny . Did little Altrincham ( who's name i shall not say) upset you ? Ha ha
-
He's never happy, and whinges more than any other manager in the league. I do hope they stay down.....
-
To be fair quite a few of their fans have given us some credit on their forum.
There's also comments about bottles being thrown at Tommo at the end which we can do without.

I saw a few bottles being dispatched at Thompson, poor form indeed.
Also thought I saw a yellow given to one of ours after the final whistle
-
Would the yellow you saw given have been the one for the ‘manager of the opposition’?

Great post; pretty much sums up exactly what I thought too.

a) his goals were rather lucky, the 1st especially
b) the ref made poor decisions both ways
c) bitter little man!

That was just a sublime night, the team kept their heads and stuck to their principles even in the 94th minute, the patient passing build up, no slinging in the box and got our reward.
I think these are really golden days to be an Alty fan, the team and the football amongst the very best I can recall in my 30 odd years of watching us. You just wander if we were able to go full time what might be possible…

I messaged parky the other night after the FA cup defeat and said pretty much the same . I liken this to the time we were punching above our weight with GH at the helm and the days of ken McKenna and shower and Co . Long live Parky and Sorvs

I think you mean Showler and Co.
Shower and Co. played for us under Neil Young and Jim Harvey 😉

Did I hear a bit of swearing right at the end of that vid?
-
I had the kids with me in the family stand, we heard some bad language from fans in that area. The two girls heard it quite clearly, as did I. Some was from the Southend supporters but some were also from the Alty fans I'm afraid. People should curb it in the family stand, and remember there are children in all parts of the ground, please.

For the time being, it isn't the family stand.
It contains away fans, those from Pop side, GRE and main stand.
Colourful language providing its not racist transphobic or homephoboic is to be expected its not. Football
-
I think we should really be in the Southend thread, but this does highlight one of the problems with the current enforced arrangements.
"Colourful" language, up to a point as Hashtag says, is tolerated, say, in the Golf Road End, when it would not be acceptable in the Family Stand, but everybody is crammed in together and can't really choose where to go. I think you have to give a bit of leeway for now, or turn a deaf ear, I am afraid, but the sooner this is sorted out, the better it will be for everyone.

People should be curbing their language around children anyway. End of.
