Setanta pay Altrincham £40,000 for the two live games.

The new floodlights are £40,000.

Coincidence?

Yes,

I also heard that we recieved a sizeable donation towards them.

They do need upgrading, perhaps some of that money will go towards the playing squad?

We once had to play an FA Cup match early because of the poor lighting from the floodlights. It was the Darlo match for Match of the Day (and one of Frank Sidebottom's rare appearances at Moss Lane. At least his brother Ryan is doing well at the cricket!)
