Barrow v Oxford - Setanta
« on: August 08, 2008, 12:56:54 PM »

I will be watching this tonight to see how Barrow do bearing in mind we have them on Tuesday.

I just hope Oxford beat them into a pulp and ruin their confidence. If Barrow get a good result their tails could be up and come to us in with good enthusiasm.

Did I just say I want Oxford to win? Jeez what is the world coming to  ;D

Put £5 on Oxford to win on Blue Square at 11/10 - Fingers crossed.

Come on...we're Alty fans!!

If Barrow win they'll come to Moss Lane high on confidence, Logan's attitude will be first class, the tempo will be high and they'll have a right go at us

If Barrow lose they'll come to Moss Lane trying to prove a point, desperately trying not to have 0 points after 2 games and so they'll be difficult to break down and dangerous on the break, again with Logan playing his heart out.

They are only Barrow. Oxford and Alty should both be far too good for them.

Why did they kick off nine minutes early?

Been a good game so far. Barrow are certainly on top and with Oxford down to 10 men it could be interesting.

Not seen logan do much yet, couple of crosses and two good chances for Barrow to score.

Oxford are poor.

Barrow fast up front but no real penetration, mainly long range efforts.

Logan is lucky to still be walking after that tackle.

Why did they kick off nine minutes early?

I think it was 6 minutes late as opposed to 9 minutes early.

How about Barrow?  Good game so far.  2-0 now to the home team.  I had a few £ on Oxford as well.  I can kiss that goodbye >:( It shows that part time teams can still hold their own!!!

Well that was £5 down the drain.

At least Barrow should bring more to ML on Tuesday now.

If you didn't think so previously, believe it now - we are in for a hell of a game on Tuesday!

Barrow didn't set the world alight but they are strong and committed and this is probably the worst possible time to be playing them.

I've got to say though, I thought Oxford were poor tonight, despite the good work from Barrow.

What I took from Barrow -

1) Their forwards are pacey and not afraid to shoot
2) Their left back seems exposed
3) They are poor in the air
4) They have 100% committment
5) They play the through ball
6) They favour their right side more than the left
7) They press forward alot with the midfield leaving the flanks exposed
