Barrow - MATCH THREAD
« on: September 29, 2015, 07:41:59 AM »

A key fixture, barrow haven't started as well as they had hope after such major investment and have been a bit up and down results wise, rather like ourselves. Should see a decent crowd as it's rare for barrow to visit us on a Saturday so the away following should be in to three figures as it was when they travelled Macc the other week. Not sure what starting X1 id go with as we are still waiting on the state of people's fitness, but reevesy was excellent when he came on, on Saturday, and I'd like to have a look at him playing behind ranks. Hopefully Shaun and Nicky aren't too far off now also. I won't be there Saturday, but the next four games are ones in which we really need to push ourselves up the table from. And I would be disappointed with anything less than 8 points from the four up coming games

I think they've had a fair start, I don't think the owner does though

I believe said owner is putting  £10k a week into playing budget,  so I'm not surprised he's not happy.
I also hear that Paddy Lacey has been their best player this season

I think in this era 10 k a week is about par for a mid table side

20 players on an average of £500 per week is unfortunately beyond OUR resources.

Your probably right my point is I'd say atleast half the league have a budget as big as that and in many cases much higher

Not surprised. He was a decent enough player for us, just needed a bit of time to get more comfortable and learn his game. You could see his potential with us. I'm happy for the lad.

Desperately need densmore to start tomorrow.  Hopefully we can have Rankine and Reeves up top from the off.

A 15 minute appearance from Clee at the death would be most welcome.

Let's hope the poisitive news on Densmore and Clee continues - it'd be a great boost to have those two back.

I reckon we'll win if we can get them together on the pitch for 20 minutes or so. If no Clee it's a draw.

Having Nicky and Dens back will make a huge difference to our chances in two must win matches this week. Still wouldn't play both Ranks and Reevsey though.

I would like to see Damo start and get his goalscoring total going, also with Nikki and Dens and I would think that 3 points is a good prospect....

If we go with Rankine and Reeves, I would fully expect us to get overrun as usual - which is so frustrating. Hopefully having Richman back would help this.

When was the last time we played 2 up top and it worked?  I'm going to go with Bristol Rovers (H) - back then we never would have expected Gillespie to have worked out so badly.

It says on the main site that Rankine is an injury doubt for tomorrow.
