Seems like he's mr. popular at the p1ss poor kit kat stadium...he's going to Hibs and YCFC get nothing!

Let's hope he plays like an arse in a couple of weeks time.

A statement from the club said: "Before Clayton Donaldson joined York City it is fair to state he was a player who had enjoyed little success.

"It is only the work of Billy McEwan and York City Football Club that has made Clayton Donaldson the player he is today."

The statement adds: "Although we have been offered £50,000 from Hibernian for Clayton to leave immediately our position remains the same: Clayton Donaldson will stay at York City until the end of the season.

"We only hope the intervention of this transfer arrangement has not unsettled our player and that Clayton will still perform to the best of his ability."

I'd have took the money - is worth keeping a possibly disinterested player?

It would make it better for us if Donaldson has a poor matchy against us, but York City are not a 1 man team.

No, but Bishop and Donaldson were almost talismanic for them with their scoring ability - he will be a big loss for them

Clayton has to be respected as a striker with good raw ability rearly found in non league but he's no stan collymore, i new he was good but the scottish premeirship? steady on, well hibs are obviosly going to make money on him later on in his career so quite a lucrative signing, expect him to go on loan when he doesnt get a full game all season whatch this space ;)

According to today's Metro (north of the border) Donaldson has "vowed" to give his all for York City for the rest of the season.....

of course, he would say that, wouldn't he!
