It's down to the manager though isn't it? We were all ready to give Young a chance at least and so was the chairman.

I've given him 10 games to make an impression as I believe all managers deserve that but it's not looking good at the moment. I believe the chairman will do what has to be done if it comes down to it though...There's a difference between struggling in the national and floundering in the North.

I think there'll be a sub 500 crowd for the loss to Curzon and then even our spineless chairman will have to do something.

No need to have a dig at the chairman is there? Give him a break man.

Sinnott said every season give it eight games for a squad to gel.

We've played the 4 sides I expect to be in the playoffs
so everything ok then? 0-6 defeats acceptable because the team still needs to gel?

Why you quoting Sinnott now?

Because Sinnott was a good manager for a good majority of his time here.

 It was total embarrassment tonight

I'd be unhappy if that were a result in the national league but it is totally unacceptable for that to happen in the north and at home. So many things wrong with the performance so I'll only say that James Lawrie was the one player that looked even remotely competitive.

Shocking from start to finish

Highlights of the goals and a couple of Dawbers saves are here. https://t.co/cszwutlHdP

Good work in the build up and a nice finish by Lawrie. Their keeper possible should have done better.

Equaliser - Poor defending, nobody took command.

Their 2nd. What the hell was Dawber doing? Take that off the attackers head every day of the week. And then appealing for a foul? Pathetic.

Our 2nd, poor defending from Harrogate, 2 good headers by Cyrus and Reevesey.

Some good saves by Dawber, but he needs to command his area more. A couple of costly mistakes already by the lad.

Yep credit where it's due, some great saves in there, came out really well and narrowed his angle for the first one. Needs to be much better in the air though which is something a lot of young keepers especially struggle with. Personally don't think he's ready for this level yet but it's still early days.

He's being paid on an appearance basis
Why couldn't we do that?

To pay someone on an appearance basis you still have to count it in your playing budget. If we'd kept Nicky it would have meant less money to offer other players which is all well and good if he was to play the majority of games but if he missed the majority we'd have less players in the squad to cover because we still would've had to keep money aside in case he did play games if that makes sense.

Think he'd have been worth it though, especially in the Conf north.

I'm a bit concerned in all honesty. Some of those released players are more than good enough.

Gutted about Nicky. Think he'd be an asset especially in the North

Really hope he doesn't leave as he'll probably bag 20 plus in the conference North next season.

I think we should club together and present Tolson with a day saver so that he can get on the bus and f**k off out of here.

Bit harsh to have a go at Tolson. He did what he could with a clearly demoralised squad that had resigned itself to relegation and even said he couldn't promise anything when he took the job. I do believe that Lee would have done just enough to keep our heads above water but we will never know now. Anyway all we are doing is delaying the inevitable, a win at home to Welling would be moderately annoying actually as I'd feel obliged to get down to Braintree to support the lads where I'd be extremely surprised to see us get a result.

But whilst we're still fighting I'll be behind them

I'd snap your hand off for a draw right now.

I don't think, they do care, that's the point. The sports hall will be there regardless what league the team are in.

Why on earth would they even bother if they didn't care?

The board replaced a inept manager with one totally out of his depth it is the boards fault

Disagree that Sinnott was inept. Obviously not good enough in the 2nd part of this season but he'd done a more than decent job up to then.

With the fixtures at the end of the season we would've got out of it if we picked a proper manager,Christ we might've stayed up with Sinnott

I think Lee would have just about kept us up this year and with players back next season would have kicked on which is a real shame. With a fit squad I reckon we'd have finished around 16th this season comfortably. As it is, the league is so poor that even the Altrincham Fringe team are still in with a small shout of staying up
your kidding yourself there

We only have 2 conference standard players at the club (now)

The bottom 6 or 7 clubs aren't really conference standard though and I agree it would be close. Big changes needed in the summer whichever league we're in
