Mr Gazelle,

I will vouch for the goal at Weymouth as I was one of the few individuals fortunate enough to witness it.

Good as it was however I fear that the own goal conceded by one Mr Robert Moore was far more entertaining as was, I seem to recall, the method of transporting said Mr Moore from the ground following the fixture

Dear Friends,
What a game it was at Weymouth. Wwe only just got to the ground for KO, horribily hung over. Then having helped trap Mr Moore in the coach boot for the trip to the ground I was put on the wing, 'cos unlike Pete I could run, to be assaulted (accidental head butt!) by one Mr Philip Boyne - who played for Weymouth as they were short! I then made a huge stop late on whereby I stopped a goal on the line with my own dear tackle. Bump on Balls, bump on bonce, awful trip back to Wythy hospital, long wait to be told "You appear to ahve very solid head Mr Seller!"
hey ho, only 51 years old but can still remember how hard Phils head was and the pain of the goal line stop. Glad to say no serious damage as it all happened before Daisy came along!

oh those days.
indeed playing with bobby moore was an honour and i felt it was totally fair to put him in the boot as his sh!t stank.

lets hope we can do a 25 year reunion it must be soon.

i suspect my ex fiance would skip the event (or maybe that was the year after)
but some of the old faces  must be contactable

who can forget looie's lounge there was some hard core drinking going on there, hughsy has to get an honory invite for a six thirty finish, this year

if mark ohara makes a reappearance we have to stop him visiting portland and i promise no parrot jokes unless really pushed or pissed.

Right, I'm sure that it isn't but I know what sort of weird things can occur on these weekenders but please tell me that you didn't kidnap Englands greatest ever footballer and only World Cup winning captain tied him up put him in a coach boot and made hime play for the supporters team?  :o

We did in fact get THE really famous  bobby moore to play for us but they had an ex weymouth player who was Ian bothams mate in goals so we had to get a ringer.

Did heald green Alty's (not heard from him for ages) dad play in goal for us ?

have you still got the photo's nic

Mr Gazelle,

If I recall correctly our cat like custodian that day either was or should have been 'Fat Pat' whom I seem to recall drank an entire crate of Newcastle Brown Ale on the coach on the way down and subsequently retired hurt from the Saturday Night's revelry.

Substitutes were, I recall, Cookie and I due to some quite scandalous revenge from our Manager Brian Taylor Esq. due to us kyboshing his attempt to pull in the Night Club on the Saturday.

Oh what epic memories come flooding back

Unfortunately one member of the team that day the late flying winger Paul Gee wouldn't be able to join in any reunion game but there are plenty others who can.

I'm pretty sure that it was Wigan Alty playing in nets that day and John Wood had returned from 'losing his wallet' to a lady he met in the night club in time to play in defence along side myself.

Not forgetting Ian Moss being his usual mouthy self.

As the gazelle said the Weymouth side wasn't in fact a true supporters team fielding a number of ringers.

I suspect the photo is needed as Fat Pat and heald green alty could have easily got confused as could i if i hadnt specialised in hamging around doing not alot at the other end of the pitch . however goal a game strikers of my quality are not easily found, i am surprised ecky hasnt been on the phone.
How did taylor end up as manager? surely that was aa job for the suave sophisticated travis

Very True Mr Gazelle,

I believe however that Mr Travis demonstrated that he had once been a boy scout and therefore was prepared by taking his own 'bit on the side' down to Weymouth whereas Mr Taylor was relying on his legendary  (at least on his own planet) pulling ability once he got down there.

Mr Travis I would therefore suggest had what he might have described as 'alternative' priorities perhaps? ::) ::) ::)
