I have just won the Sausage Sandwich game (For Alty!) on Danny Baker's 5Live show... beat Colchester 2-0! Yeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Danny's SS guests were Ossie Ardiles & Ricky Villa... ah, memories of the 1-1 draw against them in Jan 1979! nice bit of banter with a couple of legends! Awesome start to the day! Was in the shower when they rang..

Thought you might have mentioned John King's part in their introduction to FA Cup football. And our part in Hinckley's goal difference story from last week.

I didn't aim to be on the SS game.. I'd texted a question fro Danny about the link between the SS guests and the Hinckley goals story, got in the sower then they rang! Caught on the hop.. would loved to have spoknb about the JK incident!

I had my ears on too.  All good coverage...and not a single mention of "Altrincham Town".

Once when I called into Danny Baker I was putting my socks on when they phoned me back. A disturbing trend I think.

Apparently we were "quite a good club...in the third division" at the time! Also, you could have nailed it 3-nil. If you listen closely, Ossie twice reveals his answer to the sausage sandwich question before it's put to you!

Nice to hear Ossie talking about *that* game though :)
