It is silly, but I think every team gets scheduled at least one distance midweeker

To be fair, our furthest south midweek this season is Macclesfield. Makes up for Dover and Woking last season.

It is something that should be avoided if at all possible. Mind you, it's not exclusive to our league, just look at Carlisle having to play Plymouth away in midweek. Ridiculous!

The Eastleigh-Alty round trip is 424 miles. That's ridiculous for a midweek match in any league.

OMG so it is. That will teach me to post in here while suffering from jet-lag and not exactly being with it :(.

That's good then as I'll definitely be going.

Aren't we at Sincil Bank again in midweek this season?  I am certainly planning to be there!

Yes - a week on Tuesday to be precise. In point of fact, the Moss Rose is only very marginally south of Sincil Bank (if at all).

If you only want to talk about the y axis, then that is true.

But there is also an x axis in play here!!

Completly agree probably got Welling or Bromley on Saturday. Its unfortunate if its a re-scheduled game this can't be helped but a scheduled fixture stupidity. Midweek games southern teams should travel no further north than Kiddy  and northern teams no further south than Kiddy I know this is a problem if your Gateshead or Barrow or Torquay or Dover but in the main lets be sensible
